A loud thudding was coming from the massive doors of Kim Seokjin's house. Luckily Jin was downstairs in the kitchen, he was giving Beomgyu a late night cooking class to finally teach him the art of the egg. If he'd have been upstairs, he would have been fast asleep to notice the knocking.

Jin excused himself and went to open the door. What he didn't expect was his best friend to be there with shoes not properly on his feet, messy hair and bloodshot eyes.

"Hoseok?! What happened?" Jin said concerned.

"I....my...my mu—-" Hoseok couldn't take it so he burst into tears.

"Oh no no no, come here." Jin said softly pulling Hoseok close.

"She left me, Jin!" Hoseok shouted through his sobs. "She left me again!"

Closing the door with his best friend still in his arms, he brought him into the tv room with comfy chairs. He quickly went to tell Beomgyu it was best for him to go home. Then he pulled a punt of ice cream and two bottles of alcohol and joined Hoseok in the room again.

"And then she just walked out of my life for the second time" Hoseok finished telling the story through hiccups and chugging down alcohol.

"Oh Hobi, I'm so so sorry. I thought everything was going great with Hope. I didn't realise anything could go wrong like that." Seokjin said heartbroken for his friend.

"Realise?"

"Well, it was always going to be a little complicated. Whether it would have taken time for your mum to accept that your other mother had come back. But sometimes these things turn out for the worse. And I think your mum let jealousy take over her."

"Didn't know jealousy could come in the form of ruining your son's life." Hoseok said bitterly, taking another chug.

His face quickly formed into a look where it seemed he was a lost boy all over again.

"I don't understand why she left again." He snuggled up to his friend, who accepted the gesture and pulled a blanket over them.

"Why would she do this to me?" Hoseok slurred his words slightly.

"I don't know Hobi, I really don't."

The pair looked up to each other lost in drunken thoughts and pain. Seokjin noticed the Hoseok's tear stained face and his eyelashes clumped together slightly because of his tears. Hoseok was looking directly in Jin's eyes, all he was was desperate for love and desperate for being loved. And lack of sobriety caused him to do something unexpected.

He brought his face really close to Jin so their noses were touching and at first didn't do anything, he felt another tear roll down his cheek and then he did it.

He kissed Jin.

Jin was taken aback but after they broke apart, like a magnet, he was pushed straight back and kissed him. It lasted a little longer as Jin held his friend in his arms. But Hoseok slowly fell into a sleep which left Jin alone with confused, drunk thoughts.

The sun shone brightly into the windows of Jin's tv room. Funnily enough, not the sun that took the form of Jung Hoseok. No, that sun was snoring loudly sprawled out like an eagle on the sofa with a bottle in his hands. The empty ice cream tub was discarded on the side with two silver spoons peaking out.

It wasn't the sun however, that woke them up.

"Boys! What on earth is going on in here?" It was Jin's mother.

"Mum?" Jin said groggily sitting up, his headache wasn't terrible but it was there.

Hoseok however, immediately made a run for the bathroom after sitting up, to throw up. Seokjin rushes after him and patted his friend's back whilst he let it all out.

"You alright?" He said once he was finished.

"Yeah, I am now."

The boys looked at each other.

"Listen..." they both said at the same time followed by laughing and it was the first time Hoseok had laughed since before his mum left again.

"What happened last night, I remember it now and I hope it's mutual. In that it meant nothing. I'm straight and I'm pretty sure you are too." Hoseok said quite confidently.

"Y-Yeah, I don't have feelings for you! That would be gross. And like you said, I'm straight." Although ur was true that Jin had no romantic feelings towards his friend, he sounded uncertain about his last sentence but Hoseok didn't notice this and brushed his teeth whilst Jin went to prepare breakfast.

"So are you two going to tell me why you got so drunk yesterday?" Jin's mother asked impatiently.

"We didn't get that drunk." Hoseok tried to convince himself.

"I found more bottles under the sofa."

"Touché" Jin said simply, still a bit dazed.

"It was...my mum. She left again." Hoseok looked down.

Having known Hoseok's situation, she asked no further questions as it always had been a difficult topic- Hoseok's birth mother.

"The dinner the other night was very good, don't you think Seokjin" His mother changed the subject.

"Yes, it was nice. I kind of want to see Hana and Namjoon get married now. I ship it." Jin said laughing at the thought of him being best man and Taehyung
settling for page boy.

"What Jin means to say is his own wedding with Hana—-"

"It's fine Hobi, mum knows."

"You do?"

"Yes, they announced it at the dinner. To be fair that lunch we had, it seemed quite obvious. I'm happy for them, I know my Seokjinnie will find his perfect girl soon." She said the last bit in a cutesy voice which annoyed Jin.

"Mum!"

"What about the boy that came to the dinner with Taehyung. He was at the lunch too with Namjoon." Jin's mum said remembering Min Yoongi. She chucked, "such a funny boy, he was fascinated by my cutlery!"

"Oh Yoongi. He's been alright recently. Our friend group was in a little fight with him as well as Taehyung over this new kid we are hanging out with. I actually cleared my air with him (and Namjoon) when we helped produce a song with him. Jin, please tell me you'll make up with them soon." Hoseok had turned to his friend.

After last night, Hoseok didn't want to loose anyone else in his life and he thought the fight needed to end now.

"I actually was having a think about that, the last couple of days. I've been a bit hard on them both and to be honest I'm starting to think more clearly about Soobin. We don't really know him and I shouldn't have been so quick to defend him, no matter how much of a dick Yoongi or Tae were being."

"I'm glad, this freeze out can finally be over!"

The rest of breakfast went smoothly as the trio laughed and chatted happily. Hoseok's mind was off his mother but why was Jin feeling weird. Why did he feel extra annoyed when his mother said 'perfect girl'?

A/N damn I want Kim Seokjin to make me breakfast. *chef's kiss*
