I kept walking from the beach .I walked for about 20 minutes until i finally got to the abandoned playground .
I walked past the park and got to the beginning of the forest walking path.
I headed down the path with the all too familiar tall trees all forming an arch over my head.
The trees blocked the view of the sky but the sunlight came through the partings of the leaves and branches
I walked down the path until i saw the turn off to another laneway between the trees.
No one thinks to go down this faded path because you can hardly notice its even here!
But i always knew this was the way because when I was younger,I carved my initials into the tree just before the turn off.
I was dodging in and out of trees to follow the path until I came to an opening.
I smiled to myself and looked from the glimmering waters edge to the small board walk with a little paddle boat tied onto the tall tree standing alone.
I waddled over and sat on the ground under the beautiful tree.I put my bag beside me and took out my phone
"3 missed calls from Diana"
I decided to call her and put her out of her misery
She picked up on the third ring
"JESS WHERE ARE YOU YOU DIDN'T ANSWER MY CALLS AFTER YOU RAN OFF??" She bellowed through the phone.
I chuckled and said "Sorry im at the lake".
"ok I'm on my way,i wanna tell you about Luke,the guy from the beach."
"Alright see you then...remember turn after you see the J.S tree (Jessica Smith) tree",and with that I hung up,left with nothing but my thoughts of the brown eyed boy from the beach...
