Pre-Relationship Blurb

You sat on your bed, trying your hardest to pay attention to the textbook that was placed in front of you, but because your roommate, Corinna, had guest over it seemed like studying was impossible. They were in the living room, blasting music and drinking, possibly hoping for some content.

You tried your hardest to ignore the sounds, focusing on your exams coming up soon. If you didn't pass these exams, then you were going to fail college. You struggled though, their laughter was booming throughout the entire apartment. You decided you had enough of it and would just go out and ask them to politely be a little bit quieter.

Their voices echoed down your empty hallway which led you straight to the living room from your bedroom. You weren't even sure how many people Corinna had over, you just knew that you had to study for this chemistry exam.

"Could you turn that music dow- oh- uh... hi there." You stumbled over your words when you say the large group of people who were sitting in your living room. There were about fifteen different people in your living room, circled around your tiny coffee table. You immediately regretted coming out, since they all were beautiful people and you were wearing your favorite over sized shirt and some comfy pajama pants.

"Y/n, hey want to join us?" Corinna beamed, but you hesitated as you continued to look at each of the people.

"No, thanks. Uh, I have that exam this week and I was just curious if you could just lower the music a little?" Corinna immediately apologized, saying she forgot that you had this exam. She offered to have everyone leave, but you didn't want to seem like a party pooper so you smiled and told her they were fine.

Luckily they all did remain a little quieter, at least enough to where you could focus on the test review that you had in front of you. Another ten minutes went by before your door was unexpectedly opened, without a knock.

You started to turn your head, ready to be snarky to whoever just barged into your room but your mind went blank when you noticed a tall blonde boy standing there. His blue eyes grew large as he realized you just sitting on your floor, his cheeks growing red.

"I am so sorry, I was looking for the restroom." He muttered. You laughed quietly before pointing to the door that was across from your bedroom. You noticed that he didn't move though, he was still looking at you and the many papers that spread across your room.

"What class are you studying for?" He questioned, causing you to sigh and lean against your bed. You were exhausted from constantly looking at the same question over and over again and not understanding it at all.

"Chemistry, I don't understand any of it. I'm going to fail this." You groaned. He whispered something, which you couldn't make out but he quickly shut the door. You shook it off, going back to the question again. Five minutes later, there was a knock at the door, which followed with the tall boy slipping through the crack he made.

"I'm great at chemistry, can I help you?" He offered. You immediately took his offer, thanking him as he sat by your side. It was almost impossible to concentrate though, his shoulder was pushed against yours and you could smell his cologne invading your room.

Thirty minutes went by before you had people pounding on your bedroom door, asking if you had seen Alex. The tall boy rolled his eyes, knowing that his friends had set up some prank or wanted him to be apart of some skit they had thought of.

"I'm sorry, if I don't go then they will keep bothering us, and you need to study." You laughed at him making a little jab at how bad you were with understanding this concept. You waved him off, smiling as he exited your room. Your smile only grew ten times bigger when you turned the page in your notebook to find a note written in the top corner.

You're gonna need some serious help if you want to pass, give me a call and I'll come over and help you study. Followed by a winky face, with a number scribbled across the corner. You felt your cheeks burn up. The following day, you gave him a call and that was the start of a beautiful friendship.
