Rookie found himself sneaking around a forest right behind a fast-moving object. He was chasing it since he'd heard a scream that he thought was coming from the object. To keep up, he had to use his drill, pressing it down three times. He knew that if he did that, he somehow went faster than Sonic.

Eventually, he noticed city lights ahead of him, but had no idea what city he was approaching. Once he got close, he hid away in a nearby tree. He saw a barbed wire fence enclosing the city. He also clearly saw the figure he'd been chasing all this time. It was another Sonichu, but it was green. This Sonichu was holding a woman captive.

"That must have been the person who screamed," Rookie realized, his face registering his shock. She was tied up in vines, and her mouth was also covered.

"Welcome back, Wild," a voice boomed over a loudspeaker.

"I have a special delivery that I need to drop off at City Hall immediately," Wild responded. The girl hummed, like she was struggling to speak, still within Wild's grasp.

"Alright, I will let you in." A gate in the fence opened, and Wild Volt Tackled in once it opened wide enough. Once the fence closed behind them, it electrified. Rookie knew it because he could hear the power go on and he saw little sparks come off the metal.

He looked around for a place to grab with his hook. The best location was still rather far away. The distance between the tree he was in and the nearby building was the size of two football fields. He'd never had to grapple that far before.

"Let's do this." He attempted to pull it off, pressing the button on his hand just like he was Spiderman (never mind that he'd never head of Spiderman) to grab onto the far building. He grappled onto the gutter of the building and held on tight. Then, he retracted it to pull himself toward it. He was surprised that the rope was long enough to span the distance. He hadn't realized how long it was. At that point, he trusted it to get him across the fence.

Suddenly, the gutter Rookie hooked onto broke, shifting the grapple back toward him and giving him no more momentum to continue forward. He started losing height and was heading right toward the electric fence.

He rapidly looked around for another place to latch on and found a streetlamp that looked even farther away than the building he'd originally selected. He concentrated to get a good look, and it was like time slowed down for a quick time event to happen. He attempted to latch onto the light just before hitting the fence. But his hook wasn't long enough, and it ended up falling short.

"Oh... Shit..." He landed on the fence. Sparks started to fly around him as electric shocks jolted through his body. "AAAAAH!" he yelled as he fell into CWCville. He landed on the grass and attempted to discharge the current, as it felt like the electricity was still inside of him.

After he landed, he got down on his hands and knees to slow his heart rate down. It felt like he'd had a heart attack while on the fence; the shocks resembled the jolt of a defibrillator. He thought maybe his heart had stopped while on the fence.

"Wow... I never thought I would ever fail something like that," he said to himself. "Well, I'm alive, and that's all that matters." He looked around to see where he was. The electric fence was still active behind him, so he decided to continue into the city ahead.

A mysterious person appeared around the corner. Rookie didn't see that person, probably because she was dressed in black and blended in with the night sky. She had certainly noticed him making all that racket.

"Is that who I think it is?" she wondered. "I can't fucking believe it. Maybe he can help me." She teleported to the top of the building to see where Rookie was going, then jumped off it and started flying stealthily behind him in hopes that he wouldn't see her.
