Chapter 37: Never Boosted

"Hmm... I must be having the same dream again." SNT noticed that she was floating in darkness once again, like she'd done in many other dreams. She sighed and looked around to see if there were signs of any life, or light, for that matter. "I wonder where the black hole is this time?"

Right on cue, the black hole appeared behind her. She didn't panic or anything; all she did was look at it. She already knew this black hole was trying to tell her something that was inevitable in real life, but didn't know when it was going to happen.

"SNT!" said a female voice.

SNT looked to her left to see a majestic being, who had pink bows in both sides of her hair and was wearing a long white dress.

"Who are you?" SNT inquired.

"I am Madoka, the goddess who has been watching your journey through this world."

SNT recognized the name. "Oh... You're the one Courtney has been talking about."

"Yeah, I have assisted you through your journey. Well... when you needed it," Madoka admitted. "But giving Courtney powers seems to be all you guys needed."

"Well, thanks for your help." SNT smiled. "I wonder what it is like to have magical powers like Courtney does?"

"I know what it's like a little, but you put your entire life on the line for those powers," Madoka answered.

"Really?" SNT questioned.

"You have no idea. You will never know. Maybe, just like me, you will be in a fanfiction about how you turn into a magical girl and... I don't know... maybe Rookie and Infinite are gay for each other in it... I don't know." Madoka laughed.

"I sure hope that does not happen," SNT worried.

"Anyway, I have come into your dream to talk to you about something that is very important." Madoka gave a concerned look. SNT listened closely. "I am going to tell you this now. With your current power and experiences, you are not capable of defeating Chris-Chan."

"What? What are you talking about?" SNT asked.

"Chris-Chan is not the same as she was back when you fought him with the Chaos Emeralds. And I am telling you, even with the Chaos Emeralds, Chris-Chan is still 99.9% more likely to win against you."

"What changed?" SNT asked.

"Well, the council of goddesses have gotten together and have determined that Chris-Chan has somehow gotten god-like powers. It has come from somewhere; he didn't just randomly get more powerful. What it takes to be a god is a complicated question to answer, because we have so many stories behind us that it's not exactly clear how to become one. Looking at Chris, we can see that he has been reckless with this dimensional merge, and what you are seeing now, SNT, is probably the future of the universe."

"I don't think there's much of a surprise there," SNT admitted.

"I won't go into it much because I think you get the point. The gods have determined that the current outlook for this universe is looking grim if you are more likely to lose. So I am here to give you something that will raise your chances."

"What is it?"

Madoka held out her hand as a dark power revealed itself. "Take my hand, SNT. This is important for defeating Chris-chan."

SNT approached Madoka and looked at her own hand. Then, she grabbed Madoka's hand and felt the power entering her system. She tried to accustom herself to it. "What is this?"
