Goodbye

Ansel Pov:

I sit next to Sally on the couch and am very aware of the space between us throughout the film. My estimate is about half an inch away from our legs touching...thats quite close.

I'm such a loser. Everyone is actually watching the film while I sit here thinking about inches and legs.

Levi switches off the Tv when the film is finished.

I flick the lamp on beside me.

Maddy is asleep on Alex's shoulder, Alex is also asleep.

"Awww!" Lucy says.

Maddy eyes flicker open. It's a few moments before she realises what she's doing. She pulls her head away from Alex's shoulder, waking him up in the process.

We all laugh.

Maddy goes a shade of pink, clearly embarrassed.

Alex rubs the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Levi?" Lucy says.

"Yes?"

"Please don't go to England." She smiles.

"Only if you do me a favour." He says.

"Okay...I'm suspicious of what you want me to do?" She asks.

"Can you talk to Skye? Just try and find out what's going on with her, for me?" He says.

"But I don't know her very well."

"It's okay, she told me that she liked you. And Maddy, not Sally though. I'm not sure why!" Levi shrugs.

I know why..I think to myself.

"Alright them. I will try." Lucy says.

Levi pats her on the head. "Good girl!"

Lucy rolls her eyes at him.

Sally shuffles and her shoulder is against mine. It's just a shoulder but My heart beats a bit quicker.

Have you ever had that feeling where your touching your crush and you don't want I move in fear of breaking that small bit of contact you have?

Sally yawns, "I'm gonna go to bed, Maddy, Lucy are you coming now or later?"

"I'll come." Maddy says getting up.

"I will be up in 15 minutes, don't lock the door." Lucy says.

"Okay!" Sally says, "Night guys!" She waves goodbye.

Maddy waves also.

When Sally and Maddy leave it's just Lucy, Levi, Alex and I.

"Okay, Lucy, who does Sally like?" Levi asks.

"What are you 12? Who does Sally like? I do know though!" Lucy smirks.

"Tell us then?" Alex says.

Lucy glances at me then shakes her head.

"Why?" Levi groans.

"Because it's bestfriend duties not to tell other people who she 'likes'" Lucy says.

"But, how many guys does Sal even know in the city?" I ask.

"...like 3." Lucy says.

"Hmm...Levi, Ansel and Me. It has to be one of us!" Alex says.

"Well, yeah it is one of you." Lucy shrugs.

Alex and Levi look at her in anticipation.

"I'm not telling you who, though!" Lucy laughs.
