Recap: Oliver's POV:
"My twin leaves for New York on a school trip tomorrow, she's gone for a bit. When she gets back home, I'll talk to her. Thanks for the offer though Davie, we'll think about it." I say, giving him a hug and then he opens the door for me, and we get to work. Neither of us mentions the conversation we just had outside the bar during our shift.

Currently: Oliver's POV: 2 weeks later:
It's been two weeks since I saw Jay and I miss her so much. This is the longest that I've ever been away from her. I worried the entire time that she was gone, whether or not she had enough money to if she's enjoying herself.

But today is a hard day, it's the day my girlfriend died. I go to her grave on this day every year, she was hit by a car when we were walking to her house while Jay stayed at one of her other friend's house. It was a freak accident.

That was last year, but the day of, before, and after the anniversary is hard. Todays the hardest because its the actual date. Mama Rae was nice enough to pick up Jay from the airport for me today. I can't be at work either, (which is what I normally do on this day) apparently when you get beat up at work, they force you to stay home. Yesterday, I was at work and after 4 drinks of any liquor over 40% we have-to cut you off.

The man at the bar didn't like that, so he pulled me across the bar and threw me into the far wall of the bar. Then he beat me up after throwing me too. So Davie gave me a ride home after Gerardo cleaned and dressed my wounds.

I have two broken ribs, four bruised ribs, my stomach is different shades of purple, blue and black. Then my face has a nice shiner to it and along my hairline is a deep cut that Gerardo stitched up for me. My right leg is sprained, and I'm not supposed to be walking on, but I am. My arms are fine though.

I walk over to the kitchen, grab my fresh batch of heated up cookies from Mama Rae's place for when Jay comes back home. I got a text from Mama Rae saying that they should be back in ten minutes, she said that she brought guests back as well for me to meet.

Then I feel someone's arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me up into the air. I know who it is, by the way, they picked me up, so I don't freak out when I turn around to see that it's Jay. "Hey! Your home, how was New York?" I ask her, getting ready for her great big ramble about all the things she did. So, as expected, she starts to ramble, her words just getting faster and harder to understand because of how fast she talks.

But thankfully, while she rambled, she didn't say anything about my deep purple shiner.

But I translate her gibberish into actual words, so I don't ask her to slow down, or what she meant, "That's awesome Jay! I'm so glad that you got to go! Who knows? Maybe someday you could move to New York and that way there you could do all that every day!" I exclaim, trying to replicate her excitement. She takes my hand and then guides me into the living room where Mama Rae, Gerardo and Davie are sitting on the couch.

"Hey Mama Rae," I say ignoring all the stares from the two males sitting on the couch opposite Mama Rae. I kiss her cheek, the way we always greet each other. She looks up at me and starts fussing over my bruised face. She gently runs her fingers along the outside of the bruise, so it doesn't hurt me at all. "Oh my god, Davie in the freezer there's icepacks, get three please." She tells Davie, but he's already run off to get them for me.

Davie throws her an icepack and she catches it in mid-air because she's awesome. "Lay down on that couch young lady! I want your eyes to face the ceiling," She orders me. I do as she says, because last time I didn't, I got no donuts from her shop. She picks my head up gently from the couch places it back down on her lap. She runs her fingers through my hair and then puts the icepack on my forehead over top of the cut on my forehead.
