Beep! Beep! Beep! Beeeep!

I woke up to that godawful noise beeping in my ear. It wasn't loud at all; the noise was actually faint. I could barely hear it, which was weird. I've wake up to that sound enough to know that I am in a hospital. When I wake up, my mom will look at me in disappointment and my doctor will send me to another group. I just LOVE groups... note the sarcasm please because I literally hate it.

Like I usually do when I wake up to that noise, I start to flutter my eyes, but just one problem is that my eyes won't fllutter. Instead, I try to move my fingers, toes, or even my head! But, I get nothing. The more I try, the more I fail which causes me to tire myself out even though I'm not even really awake. Slowly, but surely, I am dragged back into darkness.

The next time I wake up, I can hear my surrounding more and I can feel anything that touches my skin, but I still can't move!

"How is she?" I faintly hear.

As I hear a door shut, my hearing becomes more clearer, "I will have to check her vitals again, but honestly I have no clue. She's been out for a week and she still isn't showing any signs of waking up," I hear a woman say, so it could be the doctor.

"So, you're telling me, Dr. Hood, that you can't do a single thing," my brother says with his voice raising with each word.

"Just calm-" Dr. Hood tried.

"No! I will not calm down! My sister has been in a coma for a week, and you just told me that you can't wake her up! I. Will. Not. Calm. Down. I won't say it again," Luke yelled.

I cringed at his tone scared of what would happen next. I could feel my hands start to shake, which is weird since I can't move. When my hands and face started to sweat I knew that I was having a panic attack even in a coma. I tried to squeeze my eyes shut, but it didn't work. The beeping on the monitor was increasing by the second. The fast beeping of my heart monitor seemed to stop their screaming match.

"Holy-," my brother said paniced realized that they had yelled in front of me.

"Sky, I am so sorry! Can you hear me, babe?," he said softly grabbing my hand and rubbing the pad of his thumb across my hand.

"Before I fall; too fast; kiss me quick; but make it last. So I can see how badly this will; hurt me; when you say goodbye," Luke starts singing softly still rubbing my hand.

The longer he sings into the song, I can feel myself calming down faster. He continues to sing until I've completely calmed down and my heart rate returned to normal.

"Wow," Dr. Hood breathed out.

"Yeah," Luke said softly kissing my forehead, and I could actually hear the soft smile in his voice.

And with that, I slowly faded back into daarkness.
