-Kathleen-
"Come on in." I hesitated for a moment, but Kaitlynn running through the doorway forced me inside. I was hit with a delicious aroma, that smelt vaguely familiar. I followed him into the kitchen and he began pulling something out of the oven...brownies. "I hope you like brownies." He set them down on the countertop to cool off. He smiled towards me, almost too innocently. Does he not know? Of course he knows! Whenever we were together he used to make brownies everytime I came over, and they were soooo delicious! I mean how can he just forget something like that? Could he? "Helloooo! Kathleen!" Louis pulled me out of my thoughts, waving his hands in front of my face. "Huh?" He chuckled a little, and picked up the plate of brownies. When did he put them on a plate? "You gonna come and join us or are you just gonna stare at me all day?" A smirk formed as blood rushed to my cheeks. I punched him lightly, rolling my eyes in the porcess.
Right when we walked into the television area, I noticed the blanket in the middle of the room, along with the pizza, rootbeer,a nd skittles. I stopped in my tracks and just looked around, memories flooding my head. I felt the blood draining from my body...the tears on the brim of my eyes. "Kathleen...You okay?" I couldn't find my voice. It's like I was stuck in another dimension, all the memories being thrown at me. I turned around and rushed to the bathroom that I saw when I came in. I shut the door behind me and grabbed the counter, breathing heavily. This is too much for me. Does he know what he's doing to me? A quiet knock sounded at the door. "Kathleen.." I couldn't find my voice to answer. "Kat.." I jumped, hearing that name, my heart thumping in my chest. Kat...I haven't even heard that name in years. And hearing him say it makes it ten times worse. I shook my head and decided that I couldn't stay in here forever. I turned on the water and wiped the mascara streaks on my face. After I looked at least a little presentable, I opened the door. Louis stood there, a worried look on his face. I cleared my throat and before he could ask me what's wrong, I cut him off. "I'm fine Louis. So, what movie did ya' pick out?" We walked back to where Kaitlynn was sitting patiently. A smirk on his face, Louis put the movie in and sat down next to me. "You'll see." with everything else he had for us, I think I know what movie he had picked out.
My assumptions were right when I saw GROWN UPS 2 pop up on the screen. .Things were surprisingly going alright. The brownies were delicious, and for a second, it seemed like how it used to be. With Kaitlynn inbetween us, I had to remind myself that this, is only happening for tonight. Louis's going to go on with his life and this isnt ever going to happen. The three of us will most likely never be together again. I mean really. Louis has a girlfriend, that I heard rumors about how he's going to ask her to marry him soon, which is probably true. He also has his whole life planned out,a nd we all know One Direction isn't ending anytime soon, they're just beginning! So even if he wanted to, which I doubt, be together with me again, I wouldnt let him. He has his whole life ahead of him and he wouldn't have time for me, and much less Kaitlynn. And I won't let Kaitlynn go on knowing her father ditched us. That would break my heart. I got pulled out of my thoughts when the whole room went black and the credits started rolling on the screen. Louis got up and turned on the lights. I picked up Kaitlynn and set her on the couch for now, while we pick up everything. I got the pizza box and brought it to the kitchen, putting it in the fridge. Louis came in and put the rest of the things up. I was going to pick up the blanket, but he beat me to it. "I got it Kathleen. Thanks for helping me pick up everything, even though I could've done it by myself." He winked at me and brought the blanket to a closet in the hall. I got my grabbed my car keys off the counter,a long with my phone and purse, and went to get Kaitlynn off the couch. "Louis, I got her." I said as I noticed Louis picking Kaitlyup. He shook his head and motioned me to follow him to the door. We silently rode the elevator down to the lobby and to the doors. "Okay, I can take her from here." Louis hugged her tighter shaking his head, a playful pout on his face. "Louisss c"mon. Give her here. I can carry her to the car ya' know." I rolled my eyes playfully and he finally handed me Kaitlynn. I went to walk away, but instead felt a pair of arms wrap around me, "Thanks for coming Kathleen. I really enjoyed seeing you." It was hard to hug him back, with Kaitlynn in my hands, but I managed to. "We should do this again." I nodded my head and released from the hug. "Bye Louis." I gave him a light smile, which he gave in return, and headed towards my car. Did he mean what he said about hanging out again? Or was he just saying that? He probably meant it, but knows we wont. I fastened Kaitlynn's seatbelt and kissed her forhead. My baby girl finally met her daddy...for the first, but last, time.
