Chapter 4- "Your the Man From the Ice Cream Shoppe"

Kathleen's Pov

I can not believe that just happened! Why? Why now? I should've known sooner or later this was gonna happen...He looked so different, not the usual Louis. I don't know...when I saw him i felt a weird tingling in my stomach and I haven't felt that in a long time. I haven't felt that since- "Mummy let's go to the park!" Really the park too! Sunset Park. Lou used to bring me there after we ate our ice cream. We used to sit on the swings and just talk...about anything. He used to surprise me with picnics under the big oak tree. I felt a pull on my arm. "Mummy less go." We made our way across the street to the park. We went sit on the benches under the tree. "Honey why don't you go play." She nodded but kind of stood there. "Okay..but mummy. Who was dat boy you were talkin to?" My breathe caught in my throat..it just keeps gettin worse and worse. "He's uhh...an old friend of mine." She twirled her hair around her finger. "Wuts his name?" I tried to hold the tears back...but the just wanted to burst through. "Louis...his name is Louis." A bright smile covered her face and she ran off. I smiled as skipped happily to the play ground....oh Lou, you have no idea how much she is like you.

Louis' Pov

I watched her walk off with the little girl. Why did she call her mommy? Does she have a boyfriend? She probably does...and already they have a daughter? I continued watching her and I noticed she was walking across the street to the park..Sunset Park. I dont even want to get into that right now. I threw on my shades and walked out the door. I made my way across the street and towards the little bench she was sitting on. I didnt know why...but I sat right next to her. She seemed to notice me but she didnt say a word. "She's beautiful you know..." She seemed a little alarmed at what I said and brushed it off. "Thank you...she means a lot to me." The one question had been burning in my soul and I wanted to know who it was, but I didnt ask directly. "Ya know...he's one lucky guy.." She seemed a little confused at first, but then she kinda caught on. "Oh..umm...there is no guy. It's just us two." wait..what? "hwat do you mean." She took a deep breathe and continued. "I mean...she has no dad. I mean she does, duh, but not..with us." No guy in her life? Why do I feel awefully happy about that? "Wait..then what happened." She put her head down and began figeting with her fingers. "We...we were dumb and stupid. And I didnt find out until after he had to leave." I heard her voice crack and I saw a tear drop fall into her hand and I immediately felt awful. "Listen, I"m sorry-" She began shaking her head and wiping her tears "Dont be..it was two years ago. I'm over it." I nodded my head but she didnt sound so sure.

"So she's two?" Her head tilted to the side in confusion. "What?" i cleared my throat. "You said it was two years ago, so she's two?" She nodded her head and we sat in silence for a while. I saw the little girl run around the play ground. Something about her made me feel happy? Was it happy? I dont know but it was this joyful feelin like I had to go talk to her. I got up and went sit down beside her on the swings. "Hey! Your the man from the ice cream shoppe!" I laughed a little and something about her reminded me..of me? The way her bright blue eyes sparkled with joy and how her eyes squinted when she laughed....i might sound crazy but this little girl looked kind of like me! "Your Louis." She knew my name? "Yes..Im Louis." She did this cute little gasp and her mouth opened wide. "You look like someone!" I laughed a little. Who do I look like?" Just then she began singing What Makes You Beautiful. "Are you sure I look like him?" I smiled a little and she nodded so fast I thought her head was gonna fall off. "What's you name sweetie?" She stood up and shook my hand and said very loudly, "My name is Kaitwynn." I laughed as she said her L's as W's. "Well, Kaitlynn, I'll make you a deal." She tilted her head in confusion...and right there I could see how she was Kathleen's daughter.

Kathleen's Pov

I watched Louis talk to Kaitlynn....and they're just alike because they could both go on forever and talk. I saw him say something to her and she jumped in the air with joy. I watched as they ran around the whole play ground, goin through the slides and across the monkey bars and I saw a spark in Kaitlynn, something she needed. Like she was missing something and now its finally here. And I knew exactly what it was...but he's not gonna be here for long. I saw as he pick her up and threw her over his shoulders as she squealed and laughed. For some reason I took out my phone and took a picture of them too...one, because it was so adorable and two, because I wanted to have atleast one picture with her and her dad to show when she's older. I watched for a couple more minutes as they ran around chasing each other and I saw pure pleasurement on both their faces. Oh Lou, what you dont know is that's your daughter.

Sorreh guys its so short...AND IM INCREDIBLY SORRY FOR NOT UPDATIN FOR LIKE WHAT A YEAR! sO SORRY ABOUT THAT! I JUST THOUGHT THIS STORY WASNT GOOD ENOUGH AND THAT I SHOULD JUST NOT UPDATE BUT TODAY I WENT BACK AND READ IT AND I  THOUGHT "YA KNOW WHAT IM GONNA UPDATE" SO JUST COMMENT WHAT YOU THINK & DONT FORGET TO VOTE AND IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS DM ME! ALSO SINCE I AM NOW DONE WITH THE FIRST BOOK OF MY MAIN STORY:( I WILL NOW BE POSTING A LOT ON THIS STORY:D NOW I DONT KNOW EXACTLY WHEN BUT I WILL TRY TWICE A WEEK!!
