{Stella Iparis}

"Okay class, turn to your homework."

There was a shuffle of papers as everyone turned to their homework. As I flipped though my homework section in my binder, I found the sheet. Crap, I thought, it's not signed. See my math teacher, Mrs.Grotell, has this thing about homework. You MUST have it on loose leaf and bring it in on time if you don't, then it doesn't count. It MUST be neatly written in PENCIL. And you MUST MUST MUST have it signed by a parent or guardian or you won't get any credit.

I did all of that except the signing part. And you might think that the only part she cared about was actually getting the homework done. Nope. She only actually cared about the signature on the paper. And if you didn't get it signed she would chew you out badly. The whole class thought she was a monster. She is basically the most hated teacher in our class. Even Kelly hated her and Kelly loved everyone.

As she came down my row I tried to come up with a excuse as to why I didn't have my homework signed. Now, this usually isn't very hard but she would shoot it down. 'My parent was busy' she would say that it takes less than a second to sign a paper. She even had something to say to 'My parent was in the hospital'. All she would answer with is 'there was someone watching you right?'

"Homework?" She asked in that horrible voice. I showed her my paper. She raised her eyebrow. "Signature?"

"Uh, well you see Mrs.Grotell I-" I started to say when the old hag interrupted me.
"Stella, remember the homework rules?" Of course I did, I thought angrily, That was all you talked about the first day of school! "Yes Mrs.Grotell...." I said sullenly.

"Well then, you must also know that I will not take this and you are getting a zero." And with that she walked away.

{Half an hour later}
"Ugh she's the worst teacher ever." I complained to my life long friend Ashley.
She looked at me sympathetically. She was in one of the lucky classes that doesn't have Mrs.Grotell.

"Maybe it'll get better." She said trying to reassure me. I rolled my eyes.

"No, I'm serious it will get better." I almost laughed but then I saw how she said it with so much certainty.

I was about to say something but then Jay walked up to where we were sitting.

"Hey girls, can I steal Stella for a few seconds?"

"Why?" I asked.

"Science project."

I sighed. "Alright, but let me finish this yogurt."
----------------------------------------
"Your kidding me right?," I ask. I couldn't believe Jay would stoop that low.

"No, I'm serious. Don't trust her," he says,"she's just fooling you. She isn't who you think she is."

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah okay sure." I definitely wasn't going to believe him. "I'm going to go now before you tell me that unicorns exist." But even as I said it I couldn't help but glance over at her.

Before I walked away Jay hissed in my ear, "Trust me Ashley isn't to be trusted." Yeah right, I thought.
