I just knew it in my blood that I was pretty much fucked!

As I looked around, I could see doctors frantically working on some Patient, struggling to keep the person alive.

From my doctorate and experience gained from all the reruns of Grey's anatomy, I could already tell from the irregular wheezing and inconsistent sound of the heart monitor that the girl on the table was barely breathing and barely alive.

The clothes on the girl's body looked oddly familiar. As hard as I was trying to look over the nurse's shoulder, I couldn't.

I just gave up and stepped out of the room, trying not to be a hassle to any doctor or nurse.

Over my shoulder, I could hear doctors now trying to shock the poor girl back to life.

As I stepped out, my eyes landed on a striking green-eyed Greek god looking dude.

"Took you long enough."He grunted.

I couldn't quite figure if he was talking to me. So, I kept my silence.

"Yes, I'm talking to you Zarina." He said as he walked towards where I was on my feet.

"How do you know my name? "

"I just do, babe. It's a part of the job. Look, I'm sorry it has to be this way, and I'm sorry that I'm the one telling you this..."

"Wait, What?

"Let me complete, will you?" he was irritated, and impatient.

I wondered, who shoved a barbie up his ass. Yet kept my silence waiting for him to continue.

"Nothing has been shoved up my ass, love. That ain't my style. I do most of the shoving. Ahh, don't be shocked. I can read your thoughts. " he laughed as he explained

"Who the fuck are you? What are you up to?" now I was irritated, and maybe a tad bit scared. But mostly Irritated, Oh how much I wanted to slap that smirk of the idiot's face!

"Chill. You would know if you let me speak." with a deep sigh he continued, "Look I'm sorry it had to happen this way. And I'm sorry that I'm here. The thing is I'm Aiden, also known as the bringer of death. I was sent here to lead your soul to its destination..."

"Huh? But, shouldn't you be wearing a hood? Where's your scythe? And why can't I see your skeleton?"

"That's all you got from that conversation? I just told you I'm the bringer of Death!" he whisper-yelled incredulously.

"Yeah So?"

Wildly shaking my shoulders he said, "Zarina, that means you're about to die!"

'Yeah and?' I thought.

"You're okay with it?" the shock on his face almost made me roll my eyes.

"Look, bringer of death, I'm fine. Everyone has to die one way or another." Better now than later I thought.

"Wait, what? Better now?"

damn, I forgot he could read minds. This was going to be a long day.

"Zarina look behind you that girl they're trying to save is you!"

"Ah, I was wondering why her clothes looked familiar!"

"How are you so okay with the fact that you're dying? This is the end of your life Zarina! Any minute now, that line on the monitor will go flat, all the organs of your body will slowly cool down, the loss circulation of blood in your body will cause it to turn blue and pale. Within no time, they'll just attach a tag to your toe and pack your body into a small box! " the disappointment was almost evident on his face but the whisper-yelling just made it hilarious and I couldn't stop giggling.

Looking sideways at him, as he pinched his nose, he looked more like he had a bad migraine and He'd rather be anywhere else than here.

"Now I'm confused. Why are you so worried though? Me accepting death, should make things easier for you, shouldn't it?"
