If there was something most people would assume when they saw Pearl and Nathen, is that they assume they where dating. Considering how close they are.

But their not.

Pearl and Nathen they have been friends ever since they where kids. Together they fight and they have always been there for one another.

When Nathen was 7 and when Pearl was 5 their parents introduced them to each other. Pearl was excited to finally met another kid like her, but Nathen was more shy and timed.

That's a difference between the two, Pear has more energy and is always pumped for anything. Nathen on the other hand has always been the shy type and clung to Pearl like his life deepened on it.

She was his shield.

As they years progressed and as they got older it's like they suddenly changed personalities.

Pearl became more quite and no one say her sometimes, when they find her, she would always be in the lab working on her suits or they would find her using the time stone to see what will happen to them in future. Since she has been doing this, it has caused nightmares to come and go.

As Nathen got older and learned of his mother's past, they say he became more cold hearted. That's not true, he cares for his mother's and for his friends no matter what, sometimes it's just hard to tell what he is feeling. As Nathen grew up, he became more concerned for Pearl and her health, he needed to talk to her.

Pearl looked down on the subway floor with her iron man hood up, Nathen looked at her. One hand was holding onto the pole with the other was in his black Widow pocket. He putted this aside for to long, he needed to talk to her.

"Pearl, can we please talk about what's going on?" Nathen asked, Pearl looked up from the ground and looked her best friend.

"Why are you so tail?" Pearl asked, Nathen rolled his eyes. "Don't change the subject, this is serious. Pearl you haven't been yourself lately, and I'm worried." Nathen stated.

Pearl looked away from him, she brought her hand up and started to rub the sleep from her eyes. She has to admit, she hasn't slept in what felt like weeks. Nathen watched as she did this, he sighed hard and looked up at the subways ceiling.

She really is like Tony.

"Pearl don't think I haven't noticed. You haven't slept in weeks, you've been in the lab all the time. We've have been friends ever since we where kids, I know you like the back of my hand, I know when you lie, I know when your upset, and mostly I know when things change. So, don't lie."

Nathen could tell why some people was staring, he doesn't care. When it comes to Pearl he'll do anything for her. "Nathen, I'm fine. It's just the nightmares that's all." Pearl said, this was true. After seeing threw the time stone, she started to have nightmares on what would happen if she didn't see it happening before it happened.

She had nightmares about missing one thing and it's end up with the people she loves dead or kidnapped. It would to make sense why she wouldn't want to sleep, she just can't bare seeing the people she loves gone because of her.

The subway stopped and Nathen looked at Pearl. "Come on, let's go home."

Pearl didn't say anything, instead she putted her hands on Nathen's Chet's and started to push him out of he subway. When he passed the door Pearl looked at him with tried eyes.

"I need to be alone, I'm fine Nathen. I'll be back later."

Pearl walked over back to the pole and rested one hand against it. She knew Nathen could help her, he promised to protect and look after her no matter what, and she just pushes him away.

Pearl heard the speakers as they where about to take off, Pearl closed her eye as her head fell to the floor. 'I'm sorry Nathen, but their are somethings friends can't talk about.' Pearl said in her head.

The subway began to move, the nightmares started to replay in Pearls head causing her eyes to fill with tears. A few tears started to fall from her two different coloured eyes, how is she supposed to tell him everything.

Suddenly her eyes opened when she felt a hand against the one that was rested against the pole. She lifted her head up and saw Nathen.

"Nathen, how did you-" Pearl started to asked, Nathen stopped her when he patted her head.

"Your my bets friend Pearl, and when I said I'm wth you till the end of time. I mean it, I'm with you till the end of time."
