We find a small coffee shop on the corner of the next block. Lottie skips next to me as she focusing on not stepping in the cracks. I look up at Reese and see how stressed he looks stopping I wait until he stops with me Lottie is slow so it won't take us long to catch up with her.
"Hey , it'll be okay alright?" I saying looking up at him he is now wearing a top which he put on just after we left the ER.
"Yeh I'm just bummed I guess that I let it happen that's all"
"This day really isn't going well for you is it" say chuckling
"I guess not , ha, I mean I did meet you though" he says as he walks away.
Wait what did he just say. Is he glad he met me? If only it was under better circumstances.
I jog lightly as I catch up to the two of them then we enter the coffee shop.
Walking in the strong smell of coffee fills my nose and brings back happy memories of me and my mom when I was younger. I miss her so much.
Reese looks back at me and can clearly see I'm upset.
"Hey you okay?" He asks as he puts his hand on my shoulder.
"Uh yeh sorry ... cam you excuse me for a moment. If you get served will you order me a latte?"
"Yeh sure" he says as he looks slightly worried
Running into the wash room I lock myself into a cubicle and burry my face in my hands I sob quietly as thoughts of my mom flood back. The ache in my heart hurts as I cry into my hands. I miss her so bad why did she have to leave.
