Craig walked off the stage of the church stage to Clyde.Clyde stood there smiling holding bebe's hand as she smiled as well."What it do broski." He asked grinning as Craig walked past him to his pastors office.Craig wore his robe with a cross around his neck.He picked up a water bottle taking a sip before putting it down and starting to sign some stuff."What do you want Clyde?" He asked not looking at him while signing."on nothing, just wondering if you maybe wanted to go to the pride parade with us next week?" He asked grinning even more holding up two plane tickets.
Craig immediately stopped in his tracks before getting up quickly looking at them.Bebe flinched a little moving back a step as Clyde just stayed in the same spot due to him being used to Craig getting angry at him."Are you fuc-" he said before covering his mouth. He crossed himself kissing the cross on his neck saying sorry before whispering to Clyde."Are you out of your mind?" He said as Clyde nodded smiling."Yup." He said pulling bebe back around wrapping his arm around her.
"Bro,come on.You can't tell me you never wanted to go and hang out with the gays." Clyde said as Bebe smacked his chest."dont refer them in that way." She said as Craig just rolled his eyes."No,And besides I can't.My parents are gonna buy tickets for me and ruby to go with them to the parade and protest. This is really important to them so I can't." He said walking away as Clyde sighed and followed."come one dude, just pretend to be sick when you go home today so that way it won't be so suspicious when your family are already gonna go.just say I'll take care of you so that way we could leave once they leave." He said as Craig sighed before looking at him.
"Your lucky I don't want you to go by yourself." He said as Bebe and Clyde smiled widely high-fiving.

"I don't know how you could get sick hon,we were looking forward to this."his mom said as she rubbed Craig's head, who was laying down in bed with his blankets over him.He had never faked sick,so he was nervous."Um yeah." He said fake coughing. He noticed ruby standing behind their mother raising a brow .Craigs father stood next to the two with his arms crossed.Craig noticed a look his father had, which made him more nervous.Earlier Craig had put a wet warm rag on a lightbulb for 30 minutes before putting it under hot water then wiping it on his forehead.Once he dried it he felt his forehead get hot.He soon put ice on his nose making it get red so he looks sick.
Craig gulped as his father opened his mouth to say something before the door bell rang. His father turned and walked out the room downstairs."And you were going to to do the big speech this year.." his mother said sighing as her voice trailed off.Craig just gave an awkward weak smile as she rubbed his cheeks."Oh dear child!" Say a sister Mary running into the room.A few nuns followed along with the other members of church."Oh you look so sick." One nun said as Craig just nodded at them before touching his forehead.
"We have made our special soup,it will cure you and you will be healthier by the time your parents come by." One of the church members said moving foward holding a cup.Craig looked in the cup and saw a green colored liquid that had onions and apples in it.Craig almost gagged in his mouth before nervously smiling."Oh no it's fine-" he said before ruby interrupted."Oh no craig, please drink it.I want you to get better." She said smirking evilly.Craig just sighed before gulping and taking the cup.He looked at everybody who was smiling at him, well except for his father.Craig just gulped before drinking the cup.

"Thank you Laura!" Clyde yelled as he walked up the stairs. He walked towards the door with Craig's name on it with a cross hanged on the doorknob.Clyde smiled holding onto the flowers and balloons he bought as he knocked."Come...in.." a weak voice spoke out.Clyde opened the door to be met with a zombie looking Craig, with his hands on his trash can.Craig had a bit of vomit on his lip."Hey bud!Did they believe it?" Clyde asked not stating the obvious, smiling as he put the balloons and flowers down.He had gotten them so people won't grow into suspicion that Craig's best friend isn't treating Craig as if he is sick.
"Oh yeah, they even made me drink one of those church drinks and I can't stop vomiting you little idiot!" Craig spat out before laying back down wiping his mouth with his sleeve."Geez sorry, but it's all going to be worth it." Clyde said smiling as he pulled out a plane ticket walking towards Craig's dresser and hiding it in his underwear drawer."Woah dude,I didn't know you still wore red racer boxers." Clyde said pulling out a pair of boxers with red race cars on it.
Craig's face immediately turned red before getting up and snatching them out of his hand."Quit looking through my shit bro." Craig said folding them and putting them back in the dresser.Clyde held his hands up defensively before sitting down on a bean bag.Craig walked back to his bed laying down Incase his mom walked in."So why do you even want to go to one of those stupid pride parades?and what's your plan?" Craig asked before grabbing his bible and quickly scanning through it.
Clyde thought for a moment before turning to him."I just want to be there with them.I mean, you say in church that no matter what you do,you should love everybody,no matter what race or religion they are, shouldn't that go the same for the LGBTQ?" Clyde asked as Craig sighed and shrugged.
"I mean,I'm tired of standing on the other side of the fence and protesting making people think we are some type of monsters that don't Accept them." Clyde said before quickly getting up and running towards Craig.Craig raised his brows as Clyde put his hands on his shoulder shaking him a bit."I want to be different,I want to be surrounded by people who are what they are,I want to be around people who aren't afraid to admit who they love, don't you?I mean don't you want to see who that blond that always looks at you?"
Craig just scoffed a bit before throwing Clydes hands off and walking over to his closet."It doesn't matter, even if I do become friends with him,I will be part of a sin.Its pretty obvious he's gay,and I don't want to go to hell." Craig said lying. The truth is craig had never trusted anybody other then Clyde.Craig doesn't believe in true love,or true friendship. After all to him it's just a myth that old people make up.True love doesn't exist,if it did then where's Craig's dream girl?
Craig had never liked any girls, his main focuses in life was just god,Clyde, school, space, stripe, and church.Clyde sighed at his friend before reaching over and putting his hand on his shoulder."Dude, just think about it.Its time our lives change and we meet new people.Ill come back before your family leaves for the protest to 'take care of you' " Clyde said.He gave Craig a smile before walking out.Craig could hear his footsteps and voice talking to his mother.Craig sighed and looked out the window as Clyde walked out to his house.
Craig did think being gay was a sin,but for some reason he never hated any gay people or LGBTQ people.Craig just rested his head at his desk looking at stripe, his guinea pig. What Craig didn't want to admit was that not only did he not like any girls, but he wasn't attracted to them.
Being gay has crossed his mind once or twice, but Craig never thought much about it.After all,how could he be gay when his parents are the biggest homophobes in the town.
He can't be gay.
Right?
