CHRIS' POV

Chris sighed in exaspertation as he told the story again to his family. "I was summoning Grams when all of the sudden Leah was there!" His families expressions varied from skeptical to shocked, so he continued. "She said that she was with Grams when she saw that she was being summoned and then intervened." He shrugged "I dont know how but she was able to do it."

He looked towards his mom, who was looking at him skeptically. "And what did you two do within the few minutes you had together?" She crossed her arms over her chest and raised an eyebrow. Chris' cheeks burned and he averted his gaze. "Um-we, well we just-"

"Piper what kind of question is that?" Paige asked her sister. Piper looked at her with her eyes widened. "What I would like to know!" Paige rolled her eyes. "Oh please, if you hadnt seen Leo in a month what would you be doing the first minute you saw him?" Paige cocked a hip, placing her hand on it and pursing her lips. Chris chuckled when his mother blushed a deep scarlet and her eyes went to him, pointing her finger at him.

"Listen you, just because Leah came down once dosnt mean you can summon her twenty four-seven. You need to start moving on ok?" Chris sighed exaspertated and rolled his eyes, finally reaching his limit and walking out the door, calling out the door as he left. "Never."

* * *

I walked down the hallway of the Rapture facility, my black boots smacking the tile. I had changed into black leather pants and a black sports bra, tying my hair up into a ponytail. Now I didnt have any of my usual weapons (we werent allowed to have them up here, sigh) but I knew exactly how I could get some.

I quickened my pace and hurried towards the stairs, taking them two at a time when I got there. I reached the level that the Elders had introduced me to my very first day in the Rapture facility.

It was as if it was yesterday.

"Now this is a restricted level, only Elders and those accompanied by Elders can get in" The Elder, Jeremiah, explained. "This is primarily where all Elders congregate as well as how we keep track of our new members into Rapture. All of our occupants' powers are stored there as well, under a special access code that only certain Elders, like myself, know."

The memory was a safe haven to me. Jeremiah had explained everything in such detail that as I reached the Elders level I knew exactly where I was going. When I opened the door I walked into the level, but it looked nothing like the other levels of the facility. It looked like heaven. It was blindingly white and filled with clouds. On my left was a pathway created by white pillars that stretched high above the clouds. I sprinted left and ran until I saw what Jeremiah described.

The golden archway.

I stopped in front of it, breathing heavy as I looked it over. My eyes were blinded by its beauty. It was at least fifteen feet tall, stretching about ten feet in width. It was completely gold with ornate carvings of roses with winding stems covered in thorns. "To represent the beauty and pain that our powers present us with." Jeremiah had explained.

The gold seemed to hum with life and as I stepped closer a golden film spread from each side of the archway, connecting in the middle and blocking my path. I knew this was coming and looked to my right.

Standing hidden amongst the clouds was a small pillar with a box ontop of it. The box had a key pad where one would need to enter a four digit access code to get in. I stepped up to it and sighed, there were ten numbers, ranging from zero to nine, which meant about a billion possible access codes.

I sighed and placed my hand over the numbers, closing my eyes and willing myself to magicly feel the numbers. Even though I didnt have my powers at the moment, I hoped that because I was still supernatural that the Powers That Be would still have some affect on me.
