Chapter 10: Run, Leah, Run

I awoke slowly, groaning as a dull throb of pain pulsed throughout my head. As I came to I started to realize that I couldnt move. I could feel that my arms were bound behind my back. My feet tied together and bound to a chair. Great. Maybe this was Prue's idea too. I remembered everything that had gone down between Prue and I, and now I didnt know where I was. It was dark as I opened my eyes, completely black.

I sighed. Guess Im breaking out of here too then. I pulled against my restraints, summoning my demonic strength to help me. But nothing happened.

My powers were gone.

"No!" I whispered furiously. "No no no!" I pulled again but felt the rope starting to cut into my skin. I groaned and tried until I felt blood starting to seep from beneath the ropes, just as my tears were sliding down my face. "Help!" I called. "Somebody help me! Please!" But nothing happened.

I was powerless, trapped and utterly alone.

I dont know how long I sat there in the dark. It felt like forever but for all I know it couldve been hours, days.

I tried over and over to break free, but all that ended up getting me was raw, bloody ankles and wrists and a hoarse voice. No one was coming. I was sure of that. If I could die again they probably would have left me for dead up here but I cant and so I was oficially stuck in my own personal hell.

What I could only assume was more hours later I heard a noise. The sound of door handle being shook and then finally broken. My ears perked up and I opened my eyes once more, hope sprouting in my chest as the door was finally opened. "Help" I croaked weakly. I watched as a dark figure stepped into the light and I squinted my eyes to shield away the blinding light that burned them when they flipped the lights on.

While I waited for my eyes to adjust I heard the sounds of footsteps running towards me, then finally stopping in front of me. Eyes finally adjusted, my vision cleared and they widened as I saw Andy Trudeau kneeling before me. "Andy?" I whispered "how did you find me?" He gave me a stern look before sighing "Prue told me where you were and what she did to you." I set my jaw as the on rush of tears came over me, trying but failing to push down my emotions. "She stole my powers, didnt she?"

Andy nodded, a sympathetic look on his face. "She was told to collect them by the Elders." That dosnt make it any better I thought sourly. "So what are you doing here then?" I asked. "Breaking you out so you can get out of this hell hole." My eyes widened as he started to untie my ropes. "What do you mean?"

"I mean I spoke with your mother and she told me everything. You arent supposed to be up here Leah and we're gonna get you out as soon as we can." A small smile tugged at my lips as my wrists were finally freed. Im going home I thought. Ill get to see Chris again.

I got up quickly and threw my arms around Andy. He hugged me back before pulling away to look at me. "No time for that. Do you know where to get your powers back from?" I nodded. "Lead the way then." I grabbed his arm and we started running, sprinting down the halls of Rapture and towards the golden archway.

"We're almoat there." I whispered as we walked down the cloud filled passageways. Andy couldnt stop looking around, his eyes wide in bewilderment. I supressed a smile did I look like that my first time up here? I wondered idily.

We rounded another corner and I heard Andy gasp, I knew that he could see the golden archway and I picked up my pace, itching to get closer to it. "Wow" he breathed "what is this?"

"Its where all the powers are stored." I said as I turned my attention to the key pad. I felt Andy looking over my shoulder. "Do you know the code?" I nodded. "Zero, three, two, one." I replied. I heard him scoff and smirked as I typed it in. "A little simple dont you think?" I turned around to face him. "Actually its a lot more complicated than that." He raised his eyebrows and crossed his arms across his chest, signaling for me to explain.
