Chapter 19: Exit Strategy

PIPER'S POV

Piper climbed the steps of the manor, tucking some hair behind her ear as she walked. Her and Leo had just returned from having lunch and she was going to check on Wyatt. She absentmindidly rubbed her baby bump, thinking about Chris. I hope everytnng works out...I hate seeing him so lost...She thought. She had just reached the top step when she heard the ear piercing scream coming from Wyatt's room. "Phoebe!?" Piper yelled and ran the short distance. She burst into the room and saw Phoebe lying on the floor, her eyes shut as she convulsed. Wyatt stood a few feet away, a confused and scared expression on his face. "Wyatt, honey, go see daddy." Piper said. He looked at her for a brief second before orbing away, immediately Piper ran to her sisters side. "Phoebe! Phoebe wake up!" Piper yelled. Phoebe groaned and her back arched as annother low scream came from her. Conpletely scared Piper yelled "LEO!"

As if on queue, Leo orbed into the room, kneeling next to Piper. He placed his hand on her shoulder. "Whats going on!?" He asked. Piper started hyperventilating as a few tears dotted her eyes. "Its Phoebe! I dont know whats going on with her!" Leo waved his hand over Phoebes face, his eyebrows knitting together. Piper looked at him and bit her bottom lip, a worry line forming inbetween her eyebrows. "Shes having a premonition." He stated.

Pipers moth dropped open "what! That cant be it!" Leo shook his head "its an extreme one, shes never had one of this magnitude before. All we can do is wait for her to come out of it." He said. Piper looked back at her sister who was now groaning, her shoulders rolling forward as her breathing laboured. Piper wrung her hands together as she waited for Phoebe.

PHOEBE'S POV

Phoebe gasped as she finally woke up. Sweat covering her body as sobs started to overcome her. "Phoebe!" Piper said urgently and looked over her, helping her to sit up. Phoebe continued to sob, her shoulders shaking as she moved into her older sisters arms. "Honey, what did you see?" Piper asked her. Phoebe shook her head as she spoke "I-it was aw-awful! There was so much pain!" She choked on the last word as she gripped Piper tightly. Piper ran her hand up and down Phoebes back soothingly, but Phoebe hardly noticed.

What she had saw scared her. The red hair, the blood, so much blood. Leah and Chris, both in agony as something ripped apart their souls. She couldnt repeat what she saw. Not yet, anyway. Piper seemed to notice that Phoebe was in no mood for talking, she never pressed Phoebe to go any further, just rocked them back and forth as she rubbed Phoebe's back. Phoebe tried to take comfort in this but her mind was stuck on one thing.

How they were going to lose Leah again.

I was still breathing heavy, my heart racing as I walked alongside Cole. I had gotten to him right on time. Melaina had brutally beaten him and stabbed him several times with an athame, leaving him for a slow and painful death. Had I not gotten there when I did I would be explaining to Phoebe about how I got her husband killed. Cole didnt say anything to me as we walked. He could somehow sense the grief that was threatening to overcome me and chose not to say a word, only to put his arm around my shoulders and allow me to lean on him.

We walked until finally Cole turned to me and without speaking shimmered us home.

In the middle of chaos. As usual.

The sound of Phoebes sobs welcomed us back and in a flash Cole and I were racing up the stairs. "Phoebe!" He yelled, completely panicked. I followed him as he ran up the stairs, following Phoebe's cries until we reached Wyatt's room. Piper held a sobbing Phoebe in her arms, her face filled with panic and worry. "Whats going on!?" Cole demanded as he came closer to the two sisters. Phoebe's eyes sprang open and she sobbed Cole's name before untangling herself from her sister and reaching for him. Cole scooped Phoebe up in his arms, encasing her as she sobbed in his chest.
