~Andi~
After I finished adding one final detail, I took a step back and looked at the piece of artwork that stood in front of me. Amber looked up and gasped as she stared at the masterpiece in front of us.
"I-It's beautiful" Amber said in amazement.
A few months ago when Celia and I were planning what to give to Bex and Bowie for their wedding we both made a huge list full of ideas of what the perfect gift should be. We both knew that it needed to be special because Bex and Bowie are special. Their love is special.
(Memory)
"No I don't think that idea's going to work. It's too retro. Next!" Celia yelled disapproving of yet again another idea I had for a wedding gift.
"Celia that's my last one." I told her with a sigh.
"Really that's it? I expected you to have more then that."
"You said no to all 101 ideas I had. I may be a creative person but I'm not THAT creative. I've got limits."
I'm really trying not to get mad at Celia right now but it's extremely hard not to. I know that some of my ideas weren't great, but I did have some pretty good one's on my list.
"How exactly did they propose?" Celia asked out of the blue.
"Uh, by asking each other if they wanted to get married."
"No Andi, give me some specifics. Oh so this is what Mr. Skskskskksksks meant when he said that you didn't explain your answers detailed enough."
I rolled my eyes as I remembered how Mr. Skskskskksksks would always criticize my answers to his questions for not being detailed enough. Well I'm sorry that I didn't feel like writing a whole paragraph explaining my answer instead of just writing a sentence.
"Do you want to just watch the tape?" I asked Celia.
"Tape? What tape?"
"...The tape with the proposal?" What other tape would I be talking about?
"You videotaped the proposal?"
"Yeah..."
"Why didn't you show it to me?" Celia asked me with an annoyed expression clearly written on her face.
"Uh..." Oh shxt. If looks could kill, then the look Celia gave me would have killed me.
"Well don't just stand there. Show me the tape!" Celia demanded.
I obeyed her command and showed her the tape of the proposal. Once the video was finished I turned to look at Celia and saw that she was silently crying. Celia never cries. I was just about to reach for some tissues when she suddenly said...
"I think I have the perfect gift idea for Bex and Bowie." Celia told me, and with that she told me her idea, which was a snow globe depicting the moment of their proposal. Perfect.
(Memory Over)
Inspired by the present we got for Bex an Bowie, I decided to display this moment for the whole world (of Shadyside) to see.
"It's the present Celia and I got for them." I explained to Amber.
"Are they still getting it?'
"I mean I guess...It was ordered months ago and it's non-refundable."
"Oh."
Even though I really want to be mad at them I'm not. I can't be anymore. I looked forward to this moment for so long but as I look at the spray painted snow globe, I am beginning to realize that this wasn't really my moment, it was theirs. And if they don't want to get married, that's their choice too, not mine, theirs. I just hope that they'll always love each other no matter what because they truly are perfect for each other.
As we both stood there admiring the graffiti we began to hear the wailing sounds of the police car's sirens in the distance. We grabbed our supplies and got ready to go but as I left I knew that the piece was missing one final detail. So I turned around and headed back to where my artwork was displayed on the building.
"Andi, come on we got to go!" Amber yelled as the wails of the police sirens got louder and louder as the police cars came nearer and nearer to where we were.
"Just go Amber, I'll meet you in a second. There's something I need to do." I responded.
"I would never leave without you Bambi."
I turned and smiled at the beautiful, blonde girl behind me. The butterflies in my stomach went from just fluttering around softly to racing around in my stomach at an alarming rate. My hands grew sweaty and I wanted to respond but I didn't know what to say. So I didn't say anything.
Underneath the graffiti art I write these words in cursive, "What true love looks like." And with that finishing touch I snap a picture of the finished piece and turned to follow Amber.
We both ran and ran as far as we could until we finally could no longer hear the wailing police sirens in the distance.
"Well that was..."
"So much fun!" I responded with a huge smile.
"I was going to say exhilarating but that works too."
"Let's head back before Bed and Bowie start wondering where I am."
"Yeah that's probably a good idea." Amber responded with a laugh.
We walked in peaceful silence all the way to my house. Once we got there I gathered all of my courage and told Amber.
"Amber..."
"Yeah Andi?"
"I would never leave without you either." And with that I turned and smiled to myself as I headed into my house.
Gahhh I had this written months ago but I didn't publish it until now. Why? Because I procrastinate everything. Thanks for reading and please comment and vote:)
Also MUFFY AND TYRUS ARE FINALLY CANON!!! I've watched the b[redacted]h scene at least a gazillion times and I still cry every time I watch it. I had pretty high expectations but I'm still shook by what we got. And I was so unprepared for that Buffy kiss and I LOVED it. I even kinda liked the Jandi we got, I'm so glad they weren't confirmed to be endgame though. I'm gonna miss the show so much, and the fandom just as much.
