Chapter 6

~Amber~

As soon as I left Andi's house I raced home in a frenzy so that I could tell TJ everything that just happened. I opened the door and raced upstairs to TJ's room in a hurry, leaving the front door wide open and unlocked.

"Teeeeeej!" I yelled.

"Amber I told you to stop calling me that."

"But Cyrus calls you Teej all the time and you don't care."

"Well that's different."

"Oh really, how?"

"He's..." Tj's voice trails off but I cut him off, filling in the blank for him.

"cute, your crush, the love of your life?"

"He's...Cyrus."

I rolled my eyes. What the heck is that supposed to mean? Well until TJ finally admits his feelings for the boy, or at least that he's gay, I see no use in teasing him about it. Plus I really need to talk to him about Andi.

"You wouldn't believe what happened today TJ! So-" all of a sudden I was rudely cut off my TJ.

"Great Amber I'd love to hear all about it but could you please close the door and lock it first? I don't want some random creep to come into our house, steal all our stuff, and then kill us while we're sleeping."

"Gee TJ I will. No need to be so gruesome." I said as I walked back downstairs to close and lock the door."

"Sorry it's just..." TJ trailed off and then simply sighed.

"Want to talk about it?" I asked him worriedly. I have a feeling that this was about Cyrus.

"No, not really. I'm fine. Fine. Perfectly fine."

"Ok so if you're soooo fine then why did you have to repeat fine three times?"

TJ rolled his eyes and smirked his classic smirk. "So do you want to tell me about Andi or..."

"Oooh yeah! Anyway so I was working at the Spoon and the GHC was at their usual table. Usually they are laughing about something or Cyrus is showing some tater theater. But..."

"Cyrus does tater theater?!? Wait...what's tater theater?"

"It's basically a reenactment of plays, movies, books or TV shows, except instead of using actors he uses baby taters. I don't know Cyrus made it up." TJ gives Amber an amused smile and giggles.

"I need to see that."

"Well you can ask him to show you some tater theater the next time you're at the Spoon. May I proceed?" Amber asked in a dramatic fashion.

TJ laughs and dramatically responds with "You may."

"But this time they were all super serious and seemed pretty upset. After eavesdropping a bit by just serving customers near them I hear that Andi's parents are not getting married after all. I then sat at their table and joined the conversation. Andi said that she had a huge ball of anger but she had no idea where to put it. I then said that I had an idea and I brought her to my place."
