Description: Ingratitude is a short poem which mirrors about a situation that almost everybody faces now a days. It is about a poor mother who has strived hard to bring her dear son up. But she experiences utter shame and humiliation when the same son abandons her for his worldly pleasures. So people, here's "Ingratitude" for you!

He came along into her life,
Like sunshine after a horrible night.
The bliss that followed him,
Buried the pain and let it dim.
She held him close to her bosom,
for the happiness that formed a chasm.
He cried and she smiled
Planting a kiss on a cheek of her child.
She wished from god that the pink
under his skin stayed,
After all the throe she had paid.
Who knew the gratitude would vent,
Until after a jubilee as she beheld,
On the box of joy ,the same child
Flourish as heaven in the robes of gold
A lone tear escaped her eye so old
Filled with pride and a tinge of shame.
Before her poor stomach could rumble,
There came a haughty grumble.
A vessel knocked her head
Not as hard as the words,
"Be quick or you won't get a bread!"
