“Lisa . . . ” he spoke, the girl in front of her looked tired and mostly sad.
But Jungkook understands her, her daughter died, who wouldn't feel sad?
“I'm truly sorry for what happened.” he apoligized, standing up, bowing 90 degrees.
Lisa sighed and gave a sad smile, “It's okay. Please tell Chaeyoung that she doesn't have to blame herself. It's my fault.” she answered, gulping.
Jungkook felt sorry for the girl, he sat down.
“I want to ask things so everything is clear for me,” Jungkook stated which made Lisa confused.
The boy gulped, taking all his courage to one.
“That child is my daughter, am I right?” he says and Lisa's eyebrows furrowed.
“What? What do you mean, Jungkook? You have Chaeyoung——”
“Years ago, I woke up with you in my bedroom. I was drunk and———”
(That scene was at Chapter 44)
“No. Jungkook, no.” his face softened after she spoke.
“Lily isn't your daughter. Nothing happened that time. You never let me explain and I didn't get to talk to you after that because I felt bad,” she answered and he felt guilt.
He felt bad about what happened at the past. Lisa was a good friend to him.
“But I just want to clear that Lily isn't your daughter. That nothing happened to us. ” she says with an assuring smile.
Jungkook sighed in relief, “By the way, someone wants to talk to you.” he added and she looked around.
Until a familiar blonde girl went in the café, Lisa's eyes brightened when she saw Chaeyoung.
“I'll let you two talk,” Jungkook said, before wlking out of the café.
Lisa and Chaeyoung sat opposite ways . The doctor was nervous.
“Lisa-ssi, I'm———”
“It's okay. There's nothing to be sorry about, Chaeng. You aren't at fault. If only I took good care of Lily . . . ” Lisa said, she looked down at her hands, tears falling.
“Lisa-yah . . . The truth is, I'm sorry for everything.” Chaeyoung took Lisa's hands, holding it, making Lisa look up to her with tears at her eyes.
She realizes Chaeyoung was already tearing up as well.
“Remember that time we met before I decided to see Jungkook once again?”
“I thought . . . ”
“Maybe it would be great if I didn't come back and let you alone with Jungkook, Lisa.”
