Kim's Co. building loomed over the city, casting shadows and providing shade in broad daylight. It stood tall and proud in the middle of Seoul as the largest office building in Korea.

Jennie let out a sigh. It's been a while since she last set her foot here.

They arrived few minutes ago, but she stays rooted in her place at the backseat of the black sedan. They're waiting at the furthest exit for someone. Her driver casted a wary glance around the isolated parking lot, searching for their guest when suddenly the door was pulled open and a hooded figure slid in beside Jennie.

The person pulled down their hood to reveal silky black hair and a smiling face. It was a foreign face, and Jennie briefly wondered to herself how did Jaebum managed to know an immigrant like her.

"Kim Jennie isn't it?"

Jennie nodded and offered her hand. Her heart is thumping wildly inside her ribcage because of what she is about to hear.

"Please introduce yourself."

The woman raised her eyebrows at that. "You requested to see me but you didn't even know my name?"

"I'm sorry but Jaebum just told me to meet you here and that you can help me but he didn't mention anything else."

"Hmmm typical of him then. No need for that, just cut it to the bussiness. I don't have much time to spare. So what do you want from me?"

"I want to know about my father's connection with Scorpio and whether they are involved in my mother's death."

"Jennie?" Jaebum stepped inside and his gaze focused down on her.

Jennie is slumped at one of the bookshelves inside the library of her old office, her body was shaking and knees drawn up with face buried in her hands.

Jaebum hurried towards her and uncurled her hands. He looked suprised to see the pained look in her bloodshot eyes.

"Hey, are you okay? What did she told you?"

Jennie cannot stop crying and sobbing. She clutched at the front of his shirt like it was her lifeline.

"My father is a monster! A monster! A killer!" Jennie started screaming with anger when he tried to calm her down. Her eyes were glazed over, as if her soul wasn't even present inside the room.

"Why did no one told me what he did to my mother before? Why?!"

Jaebum pulled her into his embrace but Jennie is already too gone. She sounds like someone had tored her heart out of her chest and crushed it to pieces.

"All this while my mother wanted to run away from him and ended all his evil doings, but she can't, because of me. Because she loves me. And then he killed her...just like that. My mother, who I love more than myself..."

Jennie's nails were digging into his arm painfully and Jaebum rubbed a soothing hands behind her back.

"I'll kill him." She clutched her fist and stare right into his eyes. "I swear I'll kill him with my own hands."

"That bastard also took innocent children, separated them from their family and injected them with poison to make them one of the Stinger...Oh god." She make a choking noise and closed her eyes tightly. She rubbed her eyes harshly and forced herself to stopped crying. Her eyes were pleading at him.

"I need your help, Jaebum. I'm going to destroy Kim's Co and stop all its funding for Scorpio once and for all. I'll make them pay for what they did with their own lives. Will you help me?"

Somehow he could feel that something in her had changed. The helplessnes that had been chaining her to her father finally broke free. It is replaced by a pure unadultered anger, hatred and revenge.

And that is exactly what he wanted from her, what he needed her to be.

Jaebum took her hands into his and hold them gently.

"I'd do anything for you."
