The demon inside me has awaken from a deep sleep

"The headquarter is vulnerable right now. There's chaos happening because of an attack this morning. A group of armed men had broken down the security and took down all the Scorpio workers in the building. 15 people were held captives and there's no news about them until now." Ameera grinned her feral smile before continuing,

"So there should be no problem in getting into Scorpio by the time we arrive there later."

Jaebum nodded before handing her the blueprint of the Scorpio headquarter. "Those armed men were sent by Jennie. She have the whole unit of sector 7 under her command right now. But we must be quick, President Kim will find out sooner or later."

"And what will happen to her after that? Will her father kill his only daughter for betraying him?" Ameera raised her eyebrows, amusement is evident on her face.

"Well, he won't. Jennie would kill him first before anything happen." Jaebum retorted. Ameera chuckled and settled beside him.

She said, "Too bad. He would never see that coming huh."

Jaebum said nothing else so Ameera leaned down on him, "That girls of yours, Jennie isn't it? What a lovely face she has. Maybe we should be friends after all, because I like her. With the power in her hands, she could do anything. Kuasa itu senjata, Jaebum."

"Don't drag her too far with you. She doesn't deserve it."

Ameera shook her head. "Even if I don't, someone else will. What's the difference then?"

Jennie knocked the door of Jaebum's bedroom and stood still in front of it for a moment. She has never set her foot inside his room all this while. She never has the reason to. But right now, she doesn't know why she is doing all this. Maybe she just need someone to talk to, someone who understands her.

I am about to ruin my family's bussiness to pieces. I sent men to kill people for me. I want to kill my own father. Am I a monster?

And a few seconds later, when the door swings open and when she saw the expression on Jaebum's face changes from shocked to concern, it had spark something inside her.

Hunger. Anger. Everything.

She pulled him down, and kissed him on the lips. Her hands clenching the front of his shirt, and tears suddenly started flowing down her cheeks. Jaebum was clearly startled at first but then he started responding to the kiss and Jennie had lost herself in the sensation of the moment.

She has been wanting this for a long time. Jaebum's lips were gentle and sweet on hers, he kisses her deliberately, like carresses of wind and soft like feathers. It was as if he was afraid that he would break her.

But Jennie is already broken inside. All that left of her are shards, jagged edges of glass.

And she is not fragile.

She deepened the kiss, clashing her tongue against his teeth. As they grew breathless, she pushed him onto the bed and they pulled apart. Her tears won't stop coming, and it hurts. Her chest is stuffed and every breath is suffocating.

"Jennie, don't cry. Please don't cry." Jaebum's voice is soft and comforting, his fingers swiping of the wetness from her face. Jennie hugged him on the waist and sigh forlornly when Jaebum embraced her back in his arm. And that night, they laid down together on the bed.

Her eyes are blurry, her body shaking and shivering and suddenly she feels tired. So very tired. Jaebum smells like lemon and mint and it is familiar, soothing her in a way she couldn't explain. Jennie fits her head in the crook of his shoulder and closes her eyes.

"You did what you have to, Jennie. And it is the right thing. No one but you could save them. They need your help. Tomorrow we will end this, once and for all. You can stop their sufferings, and end yours as well. You are strong Jennie. You can do this." It was like a mantra, Jaebum's whispers to her ears lulled her further away.

"Keep talking. I want to hear you in my dreams." she said.
