Madelaines POV
Today's the day...

I thought to myself as I rolled out of my lonely queen-sized bed and over to my nightstand where my alarm was going off.

I switched it off and stumbled, still half asleep out into the kitchen where I would begin to get ready for the day by making myself a cup of coffee. Whilst my coffee was brewing I got a text, it was from my mom.

Michele: Good luck on your audition today honey!

Madelaine: Thanks Momma 😘

I put my phone down on the counter and began pouring my now brewed coffee into my mug. As I stared into the swirl that was my coffee, I began to realise just how much competition I would be up against. It scared me, I'm not going to lie.

I finished my coffee and headed down the short hallway and into my bathroom to take a shower before making my way over to my dresser and pulling out my outfit for the day. I decided on a short skirt and a navy blue turtleneck. I made sure my hair and makeup were on point before heading out to my car.

I'd decided to sit down and quickly read through my script. About halfway down the page I felt a warm, soft hand on my left thigh which had previously been shaking tremendously. I looked up, only to be met with a gorgeous set of hazel-brown eyes.

"Nervous?" The girl asked, chuckling.

"Uh, I-I guess yeah" I said, turning my body to face her.

"Let me guess, Cheryl Blossom?" She asked, taking note of my red hair.

"Mm not quite, Jason Blossom" I said, running my hands through my hair, smirking. The girl started laughing and I must say, her smile was gorgeous, very quickly her laugh became contagious and before I knew it I was in a fit of laughter and almost on the floor.

"So, what's your name?" She asked, her beautiful eyes looking into mine. I was about to introduce myself before I was interrupted by one of the casting directors.

"Madelaine Petsch" A woman called out from a door at the side of the room. I turned my head towards the woman and began to get up.

"Well, that's me. Maybe I'll see you around" I said getting up and walking off. Before I could take a step, she grabbed my wrist, holding me back.

"You're going to do great, and I love your shirt" We smiled to each other as she let go and I walked off before she caught me blushing.

I finished my reading and was shown out of the room for the next person to audition. I instinctively scanned the room for the girl from earlier, I didn't see her at first but eventually I found her in a corner reading over her script.

I headed towards her and sat beside her, she didn't notice me to begin with but when she got called in to audition I grabbed her wrist and pulled her back towards me. She jumped a bit from not noticing me before but slowly clamed into my grip.

"You're going to do great, and I love your shoes" I said, winking at her. She smiled a full smile and walked into her audition.

I waited a while for her to come back out and when she did she didn't have a great expression on her face. She walked past me and out the doors of the studio, I was confused as to why she didn't sit with me as she had been so kind before, I decided to follow her out and maybe get her number so we could be friends before I never saw her again.

When I got outside I saw her walking around a corner, I ran after her and finally caught up to her. I put my hand on her shoulder, making her stop where she was. I stood in front her, still holding onto her shoulder.

"Hey, why'd you leave so fast?" I asked, catching my breath.

"I uh, I just know I didn't do a good job and I wanted to leave" She explained, looking down at the sidewalk.

"Oh come on, I bet you were amazing" I said lifting her head so she was looking at me.

"You weren't there, it was horrible" She said, frowning at me.

"Look, if I, a complete stranger can believe in you, then I think you can believe in you" I said, giving her a soft smile.

"I guess, thank you" She said. I pulled her into a surprise hug.

"Hey, I really want to be friends, we should exchange numbers" I said as I began pulling out my phone. She agreed and we got each others numbers, we said goodbye and we both headed home for the night.

I just changed into my pyjamas and began watching Netflix in my living room, I was watching Adam Sandler's new movie 'The Do-over', I was alone tonight as I am every other night of my life.

I finished the movie and decided I should get to bed, I had a double shift at the coffee house tomorrow and I didn't want to be tired and grumpy for the customers. As I cleaned my living room and switched the tv off all I could think about was when the next time I would see Vanessa would be.

Maybe this would be one of those situations where you meet someone and exchange numbers but never actually hang out, I didn't want that, I actually really like Vanessa and want to really be her friend.

I climbed into bed and tried to sleep but I just couldn't, again all I could think of was Vanessa. I thought maybe I should text her, I reached for my nightstand where my phone was charging and picked it up.

I looked through my contacts and found her, she saved her name in my phone as 'Vanessa 😉😘' I chuckled at the contact and clicked on the message button on her contact,

[Madelaine] Hey, sorry to bother you but I couldn't sleep and I was hoping you were awake...

A/N: Hiii, so I've restarted this story from a new point of view. I hope this is good and please leave some feedback <33
