Vanessa's POV

My plane had finally landed and I was basically jumping in my seat. I just wanted to rip the motherfucking seatbelt off and run off the plane.

Another 10 minutes later and I can actually get off the plane, I grab my carry-on and head off the plane.

I go through customs and do all the other airport shit I have to do before I get to the baggage claim and grab my luggage.

I ordered and Uber as I was walking off the plane so it should be here by now. I walk out of the airport and look for my Uber. I found him over the back and headed to him.

As I approached the Uber the driver got out and popped the trunk so I could put my luggage away.

I opened the back door and got in, I quickly searched through my messages with Madelaine to find the address of her apartment.

"How are you today miss?" The driver asked.

"I'm good thanks, you?" I ask to be polite.

"I'm doing fine, so where are we wanting to go?" He asked, I gave him the address and we started down the road.

"What brings you to Canada, or more specifically, B.C?" He asks me.

"Oh my best friend just got a role in a new tv show and she was a bit scared to move here on her own, so I'm going to surprise her and stay with her for a while until she gets the hang of living here" I answer as I fiddle with my fingers.

I can't wait to see her again. I know it's only been a few hours but I really miss her.

"That's sweet, I hope she finds Vancouver comfortable, it's very nice here" He said looking in his rear view mirror.

"I hope so too," I state. "Do you think you could drop me off a building away?" I asked as I stared out the window.

"Course miss" he says and begins to slow down. "Here we are, hope your friend does well with this tv show"

I get out of the Uber and grab my luggage, I say thank you and walk into Madelaine's apartment building.

I go to the stairs and walk up them to the third floor, I walk along until I find room number 12.

I take a deep breath and knock on the door three times, after I go and hide behind a wall so she doesn't see me straight away.

I heard the door open and I see Mads peeking out into the hall. She shrugs and goes to close the door, I put my foot in the door not allowing it to close.

Madelaine turned around and saw me, the door flew open and she pulled me into a hug. I dropped my luggage and wrapped my arms around her tightly.

We stumbled backwards into the room and I almost fell over her. I don't want to let her go.

"Surprise!" I yelled when we pulled away. She had tears in her eyes, I wiped them from her cheeks and pulled her in for a less violent hug.

"I love you so much" she sobbed into my shoulder. We swayed as we hugged and we stayed swaying for a few minutes.

I don't ever want to let her go. I love her so much.

"Please tell me you're staying forever" Mads mumbled into my neck.

I giggled softly before a few tears fell from my eyes. I shook my head and chuckled a bit before letting her down. I hate letting her down.

"No, no I can't stay forever, I'm only here for a little while, I'm sorry" I said, tightening my grip on her.
