Chapter 79 "A Deal and a Mess"

Bill was very surprised when Evelyn came marching through his office with a very pissed off expression and her walking pattern like she's off to start the war. The reason why he's so off guarded by it is because it's just 8:30 am and he just arrived and drinking his packed coffee.

"Mr. Cipher," Evelyn started with a very menacing atmosphere. The said to be boss of the department shivers under her gaze. "Ms. Cassandra is requesting you to her office." She ended.

"What?" Bill piped out, his surprise now shock. "In this time? Why the hell?" He casually but regretfully shrugs.

Let's just say that Bill, still the boss of the department, was kicked out from his office by his terrifying secretary with force and brutality.

He frowns and grudges to Evelyn's negative attitude. Must be her time of the month, he accusingly thought as he rides the elevator and wallows his pained pride to the soothing elevator music.

He hums with the melody as he pulls out his phone and saw a text from the infamous Shooting Star. He opens it. Another surprise since he rarely gets a text from his lover's twin.

From: Shooting Star 🌠

what the hell did you do to Dipper!? he's literally a mess today! and not the hot-kind of a mess! 😤

Bill snickered at the message. The events of last night poking on his mind every minute of the day. To the extent that all of his worries seems so little now that he is so looking forward on living a life with his pine tree.

He types.

To: Shooting Star 🌠

My fault. Sorry bout that! ;3

He sent it with finesse and left the elevator as it stops and the doors open to reveal a hallway that sends you to Cassandra's main office of the building. He still finds it dumb that she has dozens of offices from each department to the extent she has a main office.

Bill knocks on the door, waiting for the permission to open it.

"Come in."

And he did. He steps inside the huge office with a view of the skyscrapers and buildings from the distance with its glass wall, the clouds peaking and the sun out loud. It's like some sun room instead of an office here.

At one side is half of a wall full of books and files, even some boxes that are filled with papers and folders.

"You need some cleaning up to do, mo---" Bill turns his head to her desk to see his mother and a another man next to her, smiling professionally beside her in his gray hoodie and checkered pants.

Bill grimaced inwardly at the fashion taste. He cautiously approached the two with a neutral bored-looking expression. He tilts his head at the side, eyeing Cassandra. "What business do you want with me, Ms. Cipher?" He formally greeted.

Cassandra is amused with his sudden turn of attitude. She smirked. "So professional, Wilhelm." She mockingly said.

I will kill this bitch. Bill grudgingly thought, feeling his sense of right snapping soon. He hates that name and she knows that wholely.

"It is very rude to call him that, Cassie!" The unknown man beside her giggles with delight. It's almost mistaken as a mocking one but when Bill met his eyes, it shines pure seriousness. For some reason, Bill suddenly respected him. "It's like you're telling a transwoman that she is a man!" He huffs, crossing his arms over his chest.
