Chapter 15 "At Midnight"

Third Person's POV

Dipper didn't even noticed that it was already eight-thirty in the evening and he is still inside the bookstore, that Gabriella says. It was amazing, the smell of books and there's a mini cafe area with bean bags! Besides, all the books are here! Even his! He could literally live inside this place.

But can't. He sighed and closed the book he's reading. He has to go home now. He looked across him and saw Gabriella sitting upside down with a book of 'The Selection' by Kierra Cass.

"Hey, Gab. I'm going back." He says with a sad smile.

Gabriella put away the book as he looked at him sadly. "Already?"

"It's late, idiot. You should too. A girl like you shouldn't be out in such time." Dipper laughed breathlessly as he stood up, getting his bag and slinging it at his back.

Gabriella pouted as she stood up from her bean bag and put back the book on the bookshelf. "If 'ya say so." She hummed.

They payed for the coffee they drank and left the bookstore.

The sky wasn't clear for today. Some clouds patches the dark sky, no stars but the quarter moon shines so bright. And the snow started to fall down again, making it a little chilly.

Gabriella burred, holding her hands together. "It's so cold! I didn't even brought my mittens.." She wailed under her white breath.

"Oh. If you want to, you can use mi-" He paused, realizing that the mittens he's using is Bill's. Then the his mind went to him again, he swallowed.

Gabriella stared at him, she puffed an air out. "I don't mean to intrude. But, I'm worried, love. Would you tell me what's bothering you?" She asks, straight.

Dipper looked down, couldn't even give her Bill's mittens. It feels so wrong just to give it to her, a strange churning inside his stomach. He clenched his fists.

"Wha-What will you do if y-you said something rude t-to someone and felt really, really guilty about i-it?" He stammered.

"What will I do, huh?" The blackette held her chin, thinking deeply. Then almost idiotically, she gasped an 'ah.' "Firstly, I'll reflect what I said then apologize to them, talk to them." She says.

Dipper groaned, covering his face. He knows that completely! He did reflect it. And he knows he has to say sorry, but he doesn't know how to face him. Because he can imagine the humiliation and embarrassment of him once he did.

Gabriella smiled sadly, clampsing his shoulder. "Dipper, I don't know anything but I'm sure you'll think of a way to talk to them."

He looked at her bottle green eyes. "Wh-What way? I-I ca-can't!" He squeaked.

"Well, hello?" She pulled out her phone, waving it infront of him. He blinks at it, twice. "In this century, we use phones."

Middle of the night

Dipper is under his blanket, in his dark room, in his pajamas and he's holding a cup of hot chocolate in his left hand. He took a sip with a shaky breath.

He was arguing in his mind whether to call him or text him. He texted him many times, yet still, no replay. He gotten worried. When he came back, after sending Gabriella home, Bill wasn't there anymore. Maybe his shift ended already. He wanted to call him but he's scared to think that Bill may hate him more for being clingy.
