Chapter 7: The Ending

"Cameron Levi Holbrooke , you are not leaving this table until you have eaten every vegetable on that plate, you hear me mister" I say to my 6 year old son while I try and feed my one year old daughter Avery some mashed sweet potato which was not working out. "But mom, I don't like cauliflower and sweet potato, they both taste weird, come on mom please" he begs. I sigh and put the bowl of baby food down and look up at my son. I wasn't in bothered to fight with him. I'm wrecked from training and honestly I don't blame him for not wanting to eat them. They both taste equally as bad as each other. "Fine you can leave them just don't tell your dad he'll kill me but you still have to finish off your meat and carrots before you can go back to playing" I say tiredly. He scoffs the rest of the food down and before he leaves the room I yell for him, "Wait, Cameron remember tomorrow the family is coming over so before bed tonight you have to clean your room before everyone gets here, ok buddy" I say ruffling his dirty blonde hair.

As he runs off back upstairs I make my way back over to my daughter who needed a bath because she was covered in her dinner. "Come on baby girl, let's get you in the bath so you can be all fresh like a daisy" I say to her as I walk up the stairs and start to run her bath. Then I heard the front door open and Carter yells up the stairs "Ry, where are you?" "I'm upstairs love, I'm giving Avery a bath because she got her dinner all over herself" I yell as he makes his way up the stairs and meets me in the bathroom. "Oh god she does need a bath" he says chuckling. "Here, can you watch the bath while I get her out of her outfit and grab her towel and things" I ask him in one big breath, "Yes I can" he says. I quickly go into Avery's room and take off her onesie and nappy then I grabbed her stuff and went back into the bathroom and put her into the bath tub. "Hey can you wash her? I have to go get Cameron to clean his room before bed and then I'll send him to bed then I'll clean the kitchen and bed after that" I tell him as I start to leave the bathroom. I walk across the hall and knock on Cameron's door. I go in and see he has already cleaned his room and is in bed asleep. I go over to his bed side and kiss his forehead and whisper "good night buddy". I walk out and turn off his light and close the door. I walk back into the bathroom and see Carter's shirt is soaking wet and Avery is wrapped in her towel. I giggle at the sight and take Avery from Carter and say "you clean the bathroom and I'll put her to bed" he sighs and nods. I quickly walk into Avery's room and lay her on her changing table and dry her off completely then I put a new nappy and onesie on her and I pick her up and bring her down stairs and make her her night feed. Once the milk is warm I place the bottle into her mouth and rest it against my chest and start cleaning the kitchen. I somehow managed to clean the whole kitchen with one arm and a sleeping baby in the other. I slowly take her bottle out of her mouth and go back upstairs then I put her in her crib lay her blanket over her and close the door and go to bed.

*Next Day – Family Day*

"Hey guys, come on in" I say to everyone. 2 years ago Carter, me and Cameron all moved from Atlanta City to Miami because I got an offer to play for the Miami Dolphins. Carter and I had been wanting to move we just didn't know where and then I got the offer and we couldn't say no because we got a house next to the beach and this is the first time the whole family is coming to see the new house. Holden is coming with his wife Marlie and their twin boys Lincoln Brady and Cooper Elijah. Sierra and Carson got married 2 years ago and now they also have a set of twins that are 2 months old now and they have a boy called Mason Grey and a daughter called Harper Joy. Shaine and Millie are still dating but Shaine has been talking to Carter about proposing and rings and they came with their new golden retriever puppy Max. Elliott and Maddox came with news saying their adoption application has been approved and they are getting a new born baby boy from Africa called Alexander. After everyone came in we let the kids play in the garden on the playset and all the adults we all sat on the back patio chatting about life and I found out Holden, Marlie and the boys have moved to California and he's training the UCLA team out there. As the day went on we all had a lovely chat, updating everyone on what's going on in everyone's life and an amazing barbecue thanks to Carson once again. I would never trade these guys for anything in the world.
