I trot up to the cabin slowly and squint. A low growl breaks past my throat. Why is the front door open? Niveas causes my hackles to raise up. I sniff hesitantly at the air and catch a mixture of scents.

Alpha...

males...

salt...

tape...

Stella.

My paws make no sound as I trot to the back door. Using my teeth a grab a yellow see through sundress we had left out just in case we went for a spontaneous run. Shifting as fast as I can I shove on the dress not bothering with a bra or underwear.

Making sure to stay low I open the back door and enter.

The house is empty of people, but I didn't need to see them. I just needed to smell them. Breathing in a new wave of scents breezed through my nose.

Tape...

glue...

bloo...

wood cleaner...

chlorophome.

I growl and look around. Rounding the corner into the living room I spot Stella. Her body is limp and bloody. "Stella!" I cry and drop to my knees at her side. "Oh gosh..." I gently shake her shoulders. "Stella wake up." She remains still.

"Stella." I shake her around much more rough and feel tears in my eyes when she dosn't open her eyes. Before I can stop myself my hand comes flying across her face.

Slap

Her body convulses. A harsh cough breaks past her lips, but i'm happy. Happy to hear at least some sort of life from her. "Hey, it's me." I say holding her down as her eyes get wide and frantic. The green orbs land on my blue ones and dilate.

"R...u.....ghdf." She trails off her head lolling back before she comes back to face me. "What? I hold her closer. "R..ugh..nghk." Again she stutters and makes no sense. A loud banging noise from outside makes me jump.

I look out at the window but see nothing. Nervously I turn back to Stella. "Run." And then her eyes roll till all I see are the whites. Disgusted and scared I drop her back down onto the floor. "Don't worry. I'll stop them."

Just as i'm about to get up a familiar smell reaches my nose. "Oh thank godess, George." He stands at the door and smiles. As friendly as it is somethings off. His shoulders are hunched, his eyes hooded.

I tilt my head ever so slightly to the left and clear my throat. "Is everything all right?" I ask and resist the urge to narrow my eyes. He shakes his head and shifts on his feet. I know that position. Attack mode.

"You sure?" His eyes flick over my shoulder continuously. I slowly nudge Nivea forward. Get ready girly. She nods in agreement before positioning herself right under detection. Oh I am.

The room stills yet crackers with unseen energy.

Then it explodes.

Grabbing a nearby vase I turn wildly and smash it down on whoever is behind me. He groans in pain and falls to the ground. George charges and swings, narrowly missing my face. "You little bitch!" I hiss jamming the heel of my palm into his nose.

"Argh," He cries. I land a spinning kick to his stomach before wrapping my arms around his neck and flipping him down onto the ground.

Then three more pack members enter. "Oh the Alphas gonna kill you!"

My eyes widen and before I know it a black booted foot is in my face. I am sent backwards, my body crashing through the wall into the kitchen. The air leaves my lungs momentarily before I force oxygen down my pipes.
