2. Homecoming

It's already a few weeks into the new school year. As you walk into the hall you notice a large banner saying: homecoming. That is a party to wich every first year student is infited. It's always held at a students house. This year it will be at Liz' house (a girl from your class).
On your way to the classroom you come across Brad. "hey Y/N, do you want to come to homecoming together with me?" he asks you "euhm..." you're not sure what you need to say. On the inside your mind is racing "I could say yes, but if I'd do that than Peter might be jealous." (you've had a crush on Peter sind the first day you met) "on the other hand Peter didn't ask me out yet and the feest will be held in a few days, so I guess it's oke to say yes." after a while of thinking you give Brad the answer. "oké." you say.
"great, I'll pick you up at eight on friday evening." is Brad's answer then he walks away and you continue your walk to the classroom.

The lesson is as boring as ever, but luckily you've got Peter. You two always talk during the whole lesson. When the bell rings Peter grabs your arm." hey Y/N, I have a question." he says quietly "what is it Pete?" you ask him. He blushes because of his new nickname, then he ask his question "Y/N I was wondering if you'd like to be my date at homecoming?" you notice your face getting red, unfortunately Peter does too. "what's wrong?" he asks "Peter I'm so sorry but just before the lesson started Brad asked me and I said I'd go with him." immediately you feel bad you said yes and you feel an unresisteble urge to call him (Brad) and tell him you don't want to go with him any more. "oh euhm... Oké." says Peter and he looks at the ground "any way I'm hungry so let's go to the cafeteria I'm sure MJ and Ned are already waiting there." you say a little enthusiastically in the hope that you can chear Peter up.

When you two arrive in the cantine you notice a large group of people in the middle of the hall." hey Peter what do you think is going on there?" you turn around but see that Peter is gone "PETER... Peter!!! " you call as loud as you can. Then MJ comes running towards you. "Y/N someone just got attacked, the teachers already called the police and the ambulance. Where's Peter by the way?"she adds hastily when she sees you're alone." I don't know. He was standing next to me and then suddenly he was gone." you say. You and MJ go to join the group. Ned is also there" wow thank got you two are OK. Have you seen Peter?" he asks "no he's gone. Just like always." says MJ a little irritated. "oh oké I just hopes he's good too." answers Ned. 'just like always. Did Ned just really say that. Does that mean that Peter dissappears mysteriously more often.' again your mind is racing 'What was that supposed to mean or was it just an other weird habit of Peter Parker?' you are ripped out of your thoughts when you hear the ambulance arrive at school. The teachers are already clearing the area and telling the students to go back to their classrooms.

Peter doesn't show up for the rest of the day and you start to get worried. When school is over you say goodbye to Ned and MJ. Then you start to walk home. When you turn the corner you hear a loud bang and next thing you know you're knocked out of the way bye a red-blue figure: Spider-Man. "are you oké ma'am?" he asks you "yeah I'm fine." you respond, though you're not really sure. You thought you just recognized the voice behind the mask, but before you can say anything spider-man is already gone again on his way to catch the criminal that blew up the grocery store on the oppsite corner.

When you arrive at home your mother is schoked to see the scratches on your face. "oh honey, what happend?" she asks worried "nothing mom just a few scratches from gym class." you lie to her. Then you walk straight to your room without saying another word. You close the door carefully and sit down on your bed. 'is it treu that spider-man just saved my life. THE very superhero I have a crush on.'

Then you realize you forgot something. You walk to the door and call downstairs "oh yeah mom, by the way Brad asked me out to homecoming on Friday. He said he'll pick me up at eight.'
Without further ado you start to do your homework because the one thing you'll need after you're finished is a long nice sleep after a stressful day.
