So I've heard some pretty good arguments as to why this AU would be impossible. One being that it would mean he gave up/ lost determination-

Anyways! The person said that isn't possible because the show/ manga is mostly following Izuku on his journey and it's only possible because of the fact that he never gave up.
Well I don't see it that way, I see it as he started going insane from pressure from Katsuki and everyone telling him down. It's not that he gave up but he started doing whatever it would take to become the best, even if that meant deleting anyone in his way. (let's face it, Mineta didn't stand in his way but he would have just gotten rid of him out of pure annoyance)
He ended up killing/ attempting to kill every student in UA, some students were evacuating the school because of these killings and Midoryia thought they were just cowardly so he didn't think them to be a threat.
And then things get out of control as he attempts to kill grand torino and All Might.
But our dear Midoryia is insane now and he only sees this as becoming the #1 hero and he thinks it's all fine and that he is amazing.
This didn't end well so he lays low killing other students again.
He stopped when it came to the last person he could kill at the time, Kacchan, this man was his childhood friend, his bully, one of his idols at one point.
He had turned into him, maybe murder was a bit extreme for Kacchan but being extreme? Pushing for #1? Being forceful and rude?
All traits belonging to our one and only Bakugou Katsuki (god forbid there be two the world would be blown apart by them)
And now our beloved Izuku has adopted that personality, seems hell has frozen over too,
and Kyle's dad came back with the milk,
and McDonald's is actually serving ice cream,
and wattpad's new update fixed the whole website/ app- and you get the point
He decides to spare Kacchan, BUT, keep him hostage.
(Had to reorder some things because I think he would start become sane and turning around after an encounter with Bakugou and I had him attempting to kill Katsuki before the heros and that was just off, my bad)
Bakugou starts pestering Deku about how low and dirty this was and how obvious it was. (Most people didn't know who was the killer until Midoryia got caught by All Might)
Izuku explains that stubborn Kacchan was the main cause. Now Katsuki feels guilty and criminal, being the cause for such a horrible villain.
Now I'm thinking this could end 2-3 ways,
-Bakugou kills himself and things only get worse for Midoryia
-Kacchan apologizes and helps Izuku
-DEKU kills Kacchan and now everything has gone to hell there's no hope oh well
