morning arrived early to Rosie like it did the day before. She was starving. As she put on her bathrobe over her pajamas, her stomach made horrid noises. She walked out of the bedroom, and into the main room. She saw Sherlock and her father passed out in their seats. On their foreheads, there was a paper taped. Sherlocks read "Kermit." And her fathers said "otter." She laughed.
she reached for the fridge, but then stopped remembering the sight of it yesterday. She opened various cabinets to find a box of biscuits or something. She finally found a box of crackers, assuming that's probably the only edible thing in the kitchen, she took them back with her to her room.
Hours passed and all was quiet in the flat. Sherlock and her father must still be asleep. She got up to see. Wandering into the main room she saw the two In the same place she had seen them earlier. She figured, if they really got wasted, they would each have a massive hangover.
she filled two glasses of water and placed them on the nearby table by her father. Followed by putting down the bottle of Tylenol, to help with possible headaches. Feeling satisfied with her good deed, she returned to her room once more, to watch a movie or something to occupy herself.
not long after she started her movie she heard stirring from outside her door. They must have finally woken up. She checked the clock, it was already 11:30. She should probably change out of her pajamas.
Rosie quickly slipped on a short sleeve floral dress, with a blue jacket on top. She fell on her bed and slipped on a pair of knee-length socks.
She slid on her heels to the main room to see her father drinking his glass of water, while Sherlock rubbed the sides of his head, frequently blinking.
"Good morning," she said in a lowered voice.
"Rosie, dear, how have you been," her father smiled.
she walked over to him and he gave her a hug and planted a quick kiss on her cheek. "Good, how was the trip?"
"fine I suppose," he paused, "Rosie, would you mind just spending just one more night here at Sherlock's? I know you want to go home, but something has come up."
"Yeah, that's fine," she replied.
she noticed Sherlock seemed like he was suppressing a smile. Though, she paid no mind to it. Sherlock was weird, that she knew.
after a few moments of deafening silence, her father spoke up once more, "Rosie, Sherlock and I have some things to take care of today, could you go downstairs and keep ms. Hudson company."
"sure dad. Like right now?"
"please."
"Okay, let me get my laptop really quick."
she dashed to her room, retrieved her computer, and quickly returned to the main room.
"dad," she wondered, "where are you even going?" She asked as she saw Sherlock put on his large coat and scarf from the corner of her eye.
"Boring adult things, you wouldn't like it."
"Will you be gone all day?"
"not all day, Bumblebee."
Bumblebee, Rosie's nickname from ever since she could remember. She never really knew why that's what her father called her, but she assumes it's because her favorite childhood plush animal was a cute bee.
her father planted a kiss on her forehead and started out the door, Sherlock not far behind.
she went after Sherlock.
