two months have flown by quickly, and the wedding was nearing in less than two weeks. Rosie and her father had finished settling into 221b. Rosie's piano lessons with May have been going better than Rosie had expected. She is learning quickly and has so many chords already memorized. Last week, May told her its time she learns a song. Rosie has two songs she would like to try in mind. She will decide on witch later. The one she chooses, she wants to surprise her father and Sherlock after the reception with it. Her relationship with May has gotten stronger, they exchanged numbers, and called and texted each other frequently.

Today, while walking to school she thought about her song. The first choice was "even if it's a lie" by Matt Maltese, and the other "city of stars," from the movie La la land. The first song was sad but beautiful. And had the tendency to make Rosie cry, the other equally beautiful. She finally decided she would ask May when she met up with her.

She anxiously waited for a free period as the first half of her day dragged on.

Finally free period. Rosie walked to the music room, where she knew May would be waiting. Rosie opened the door, to find May playing on the grand piano. She silently listened, smiling. When the piece finished, Rosie applauded her friend.

"thank you, thank you," May laughed, "I'll be here all week."

Rosie laughed, "so," she started, "you remember how you said that I'm ready to learn a song?"

"yeah, you are a really quick learner."

"I picked out two different songs," Rosie took out her phone, "could you listen to them? I can decide between the two."

"wait, you have your phone with you at school, is that not against the rules?"

"oh it is, but my Godfather told me its best to always have it on you."

"clever."

"oh, he is."

she pulled up the songs, and she let May listen though them.

After she finished listening to them, May smiled at Rosie, "I like your taste in music, I think you should learn, even if it's a lie. It's a very bittersweet song. Will you sing it?"

that part had never occurred to Rosie, "I suppose so, but my singing voice is rubbish."

"well, I can be the judge of that," May laughed.

"Are you sure? We may need the hospital on speed dial in case your ears start bleeding."

May laughed, "oh come on, just do it, you have nothing to lose."

Rosie sighed, "okay."

Rosie started to sing the first verse of the song, though stopped when she reached the chorus because May was staring at her, with wide eyes.

Rosie panicked, "sorry, sorry, are you alright?"

May laughed, "Rosie, has anyone told you that you have a lovely singing voice? Because if you improve, I swear you could be famous."

, Seriously? Honest, I've never sung in front of anyone before, not even my dad, or my godmother Molly."

"them lucky to be the first," she smiled, "you should definitely learn this song, I think if you master it, it would be more beautiful than the original."

"thank you May," Rosie said giving her a hug, "I'm so lucky to have you as a friend."

"I'm so glad we became friends too." She smiled, "say? Just wondering, but are you singing that at your father's wedding?"
