Fei's POV
"It's not getting away from me this time" I heard Sokka say with a spear in his hand. I turned to him. "Watch and learn, girls. This is how you catch a fish"
Katara and I glanced at him as he tried and failed once more at impaling a small fish. Before turning back to gazing at the water.
Katara removes her glove and lifted her hand up.
"Sokka, look at Katara!" I exclaimed happy.
"Shhh, Fei you're gonna scare it away", Sokka whispered. "Mmmm... I can already smell it cooking".
"But, Sokka, I caught one!" Katara tried her best to not pop the bubble while trying to get Sokka's attention. Katara moved the bubble over to Sokka but he ironically lifted his spear up and popped the bubble.
"Hey!" Katara exclaimed as the fish flew back into the water. I see how the fish swims away and I smile. I know I shouldn't smile because it was my friends' food but I can't help it, it's so hilarious.
Sokka and I turned to look at Katara with a glare. "Why is it that every time you play with magic water Fei or I get soaked?"
"I love you Katara but this time I agree with Sokka". I tell her with a smile.
Katara sighed. "I'm sorry Fei". She say to me and turn to Sokka and said with a glare. "It's not magic, it's waterbending". Katara explained. "And its-
"Yeah, yeah an ancient art unique to our culture, blah blah blah". Sokka cut her off not caring and turning away. "Look, I'm just saying if I had weird powers, I'd keep my weirdness to myself".
I get up and folded my arms, "I can't believe it, Sokka you are calling my friend who is your sister if you don't realize that she is weird". I tell him.
"It's fine Fei". She said to me and turn to Sokka "You say I'm weird? At least I am not like others who do muscles every time they see their reflex." She said as he did exactly that.
Katara and I giggled when Sokka looked up from the water and turned to us about to speak but the canoe got caught in a fast moving current surrounded by pieces of ice. Katara wrapped an arm around me protectively as Sokka tried to get us through the current.
"Watch out" I warned Sokka.
Katara shouted, "Go left! Go left!".Which would have led us to a safer path but of course, he went right. We bumped into iceberg until whe crashed and slide on the closet one. I was about to slip but Katara held me.
I sighed as I noticed we were in the middle of nowhere. "You call that left?" We both said together.
Sokka glared. "You don't like my steering. Well, maybe you should have waterbended us out of the ice". commented sarcastically, blaming Katara.
"Sokka don't blame her". I tell him trying to keep them from arguing.
Katara stood up, "So, it's my fault?"
"I knew I should have left you two at home. Leave it to girls to screw things up". He said looking down at his hands.
His words hurt but I didn't get upset over it. Katara on the other hand completely blew up.
