Ob's POV(Y/n) and I had just finished playing "Doki Doki Literature Club" on our channel. Our fans had requested that we play it, so we did. We decided to play through it again by ourselves just for fun, and when we got to the scene where the player meets Monika, something strange happened. Monika blinked.
"Well...um, this is certainly interesting," (Y/n) said.
"It really is," Monika replied through the game's dialogue bar.
"Not to mention it's extremely awkward," I pointed out.
"That too," Monika said. She was actually talking this time, instead of communicating through the game's text. "I'm just so used to interacting with male players! It kinda sucks when the player can't change the gender of the character they play as."
"Well, our fans wanted us to play this game, so we did," (Y/n) explained.
"And now we've decided to redo it on our own, just for fun," I added.
"Well, you guys might be wondering how I can physically speak to you," Monika said. "To be honest, I don't know, but I need your help. Just before this scene where the player meets me, my friends were dragged into your world by a strange figure with pink irises and a pink mustache."
"Wilford!" I growled in anger.
"Who?" Monika asked.
"The man who took your friends is Wilford Warfstache," I explained. "He's known for his pink mustache and his eccentricities. He was once a safari hunter by the name of Colonel William J. Barnum, but, the very same night that Darkiplier was born, he lost his sanity. He's gone through many pseudonyms, including William J. Butterfield, Wilson Jackson Bartholomew III, Wingleheimer, and his current one."
No wonder it's been hard for Abe to catch him.
Abe's doing the best he can, (Y/n).
"What was his most recent job?" Monika asked.
"He used to be a journalist, and even had his own talk show, 'Warfstache Tonight!'," I explained. "He interviewed the Slender Man, Phone Guy, and even Markiplier, however, Wilford lost his talk show when news of Mark Fischbach's near-death started spreading. Now, Wilford is working for Antimatter, the same demon who ripped me from (Y/n)'s head and nearly stripped me of my power."
"Well, then there's no time to lose," Monika concluded. "But could you help me get out of this computer and into your world?" Her hands and arms went through the computer screen like it was water. (Y/n) and I grabbed a hand and pulled Monika through. When she came through, I noticed that she wasn't as overly sexualized as her in-game avatar was, and I was surprisingly comfortable with it.
"What is SHE doing here?!" Jack asked. He must've heard what was going on. Monika calmly walked up to him.
"Well, it's certainly a pleasure to meet you, Seán McLoughlin," she said. "I'm here because I asked your cousin and her demon for help."
"What kind of help?" Jack asked.
"Yuri, Sayori and Natsuki were kidnapped and brought into our world by Wilford Warfstache," I explained. "And I have every reason to believe that pink-mustached son of a b**ch is still working for Antimatter."
"Then there's no time to lose!" says Anti, who had just taken over the body he shares with Jack. "I've already talked to the other Septics and the Ipliers. Dr. Schneeplestein and Dr. Iplier are ready to tend to any wounds that your friends might have sustained."
*time skip*
We had just rescued Natsuki and Yuri, having sent them back to their world via portals, and now we were in the process of rescuing Sayori. That's when I saw her hanging from the ceiling of the warehouse. There was a noose around her neck. I quickly flew over and, using my knife, cut the rope and safely brought her to ground level. I then noticed a portal that led straight to her game. As soon as Dr. Schneeplestein and Dr. Iplier finished treating Sayori's wounds, I picked her up and flew her to the portal. She bravely walked through, returning to her world.
Back home, (Y/n) and I helped Monika go back through our computer screen. As soon as she made it through, she turned to look at us.
"I cannot express how thankful I am for your help," she said.
"Well, a person's actions do speak louder than their words," (Y/n) commented. Monika and I nodded in agreement. The rest of the day was spent with us having a conversation with Monika and her friends.
(A/N: That was certainly a twist! Song up top is "Be With You" by Cadmium feat. Grant Dawson.)
