After three hours of sitting awkwardly together, Jay finally manages to get Jaxon and Nathan to talk to each other.
"I'm Jaxon."
"I'm Nathan."
Jay claps slowly. "Beautiful progress boys. You're doing great. But, this place is going to close soon."
Jaxon rolls his eyes. "What's the problem with that? It means I don't have to talk to him."
"Jaxon," Jay growls. "You will talk to each other."
Jaxon and Nathan both cross their arms grumbling under their breath.
"I have an idea of where we can go. Follow me."After another ride in Jay's car they end up on the nicer side of the Scorpio area.
A quick elevator ride puts them out onto the top floor.
Nathan can't believe that this is a Scorpio apartment. He thought that Scorpios all lived in broken down places.
"It's really nice." He breathes.
"We don't all live in shacks." Jay smiles. "We just aren't as wealthy as you."
"It's very red." Nathan observes.
"Maroon."
"What?" Nathan spins around to see Jaxon taking in the wallpaper.
"The Colour is maroon. Not red."
Nathan just nods his head while thinking, 'I swear I'm getting gayer by the second. Soon enough I'll be drinking pumpkin lattes.'
"How come you know the exact shade it is?" Nathan asks.
"Well for one thing it's obvious. It's like how you're wearing Wondabyne green. It's also because I love interior design. Sadly that's classified as a trade so I can't do that. It's a Sagittarius job thing."
"I wish I had a different job."
"What is your job Nathan. You never seem to be working."
Nathan freezes. He was finally making progress with Jaxon and now everything was going to go down the drain.
"Stars to Nathan? Are you in there?"
Jaxon is standing there waving his hand in Nathan's face.
Nathan sighs before drooping his head down. "I'm training to be the next king."
"Well it was nice meeting you." Jaxon turns and walks towards the elevator. Nathan drops onto the floor in defeat.
"Jaxon you get your bitch ass back here."
"No Jay." He growls back at her, "He stands for everything we stand against!"
This pulls something in Nathan. Most of the time he can keep his aggressive side in check, but now, he couldn't care less. "Yes I'm the prince! Yes I know people hate me for that! It does not give you the right to be outwardly horrible to me! I don't want this life! I hate being the prince. I would give anything to be a normal person!"
Jaxon and Jay stand there in shock, Nathan punches a hole in the wall before collapsing again. This time he doesn't get up.
Jaxon kneels beside him checking Nathan's pulse.
"He's alive. But I don't think he's getting up for a while."
Jay kneels down as well, she runs a hand across Nathan's face. "It's the bangle, isn't it? I mean, I've seen people fight the bangles before, but nobody has reacted like this."
They both sit there for a few minutes wondering what to do. They literally have the unconscious body of a prince laying between them.
"The guys might know what to do."
"Jaxon! He's a royal. We can't take him there."
"Jay, he needs to have that bangle removed!"
Jay looks up at him. "Honestly. I do t think that's the best idea."
"So what if he's a royal. That doesn't change anything."
"If his body is fighting the bangle then he has more powers than one. Possibly all of them."
"But you have fire as well as air. And you are completely fine."
Jay groans but picks up Nathan's ankles. "Okay. We'll take him there. But if it goes bad. It's your fault."
