It was a dark night, a clear one at that with no fog or many clouds in sight. There was a slight breeze blowing through my frilly pink dress. To match for some type of warmth, I wore black leggings. I was in the car with my mom, just passing outside of where we used to live in some orange apartments. We were heading to a fast food place just up ahead. We went through the Drive-Thru and we got this new sauce along with some grilled chicken. It had a dark red hue to it compared to the hue I remember it being, an orange color, at least on the ads. We dismissed it and headed to the tables just outside the fast food place, parking the car. As I got out of the car, my mom imediately started yelling at me as the skirt of my dress was stuck in my the leggings and 'showed too much for a lady.' She started going off on me, saying I just wanted to show everything to everybody. Shit like that. Despite it being night. With nobody around. And not only were my leggings not transparent but they were also black, they blend in with the night. Well, I fixed it imediately regardlesly, ignoring her usual insults and suggestions like I always. I got out the sauce and chicken. We all ate, my mom still carrying the fumes. It didn't help when we tried starting up the car just to find it had broken down and wouldn't even turn on. Me and my decided to walk to the apartments while our mom tried figuring out the problem. We knew she would take longer, so we just decided it on our own. My sister had a scooter, going slightly faster than my pace as we walked on the sidewalk. As we continued, we bumped into an old friend under a street light, lending me his skateboard due to our situation. As we skate in front of the apartment, across the street we saw a tree. It looked funny, so I got a closer look instead of crossing to the other side and going to the apartment. My sistee just follows me as I aproach the tree. As I get close enough to it, I touch it. The leaves..It wasnt a weeping willow tree. It was bloody hair. All over the tree. As you got under all the 'leaves', detached bloody skin of girls' faces were on the branches, staring at you with the gaping holes of where the eyes should be. I brush it off and cross the street with my frightened sister. Halfway across I realized and connected a few dots. The sauce. It was the same color. The sauce was their blood. I advise my sister and she starts saying she feels sick. I skate on intk the apartment with her close behind. Up ahead, I see a shadowy figure in the garage of the apartments. Wearing all black besides his white plain face mask, the person was holding a silver knife dripped in red with his right hand, with his left, a dismembered bloody girl. I tell my sister she should run for it. She runs outside the garage as I speed passed the shadowy figure, going up the garage instead, just wanting to get home in bed as I was tired. The day seems to restart. Deja vu you could call it. I go again in the same black nightly weather. I get the same order knowing what was in the sauce, except the sauce is actually orange this time. I go and do everything again. I thought I did, but when I arrived at the tree, it wasn't there. When I cross, the shadowy figure wasn't there. The garage seemed bigger though. It seemed like endless skating in the lowlit garage, continuing with no end as my day repeats again.
