The feeling of being caught is the worst of all, and that's how I was feeling at that moment. Lying to people about some third person was different, but lying to the very person standing before you and that also about them was extremely dangerous. And the results were as expected.

The smirk on the tall man's face instantly disappeared as he grabbed my neck. He hated rats and at this moment it looked like he had caught one. I struggled in his grip and tried to break free but he found it amusing that I didn't lower my gaze from him. Even at that time I didn't wanted to appear the weaker one amongst us.
The guards kept watching us, amused by the scene.
"Give me a reason why I shouldn't kill you!"he growled in a low voice. The guards immediately backed up one step knowing that nothing good was going to happen next. I knew that to survive in this situation I needed to play smart. So, I just shrugged and casually replied-"I might seem useless right now, but I may be able to assist you."

I know I was poking into the wasp's nest but I couldn't let this chance slip away.
"Yep, my intentions are solely to join this mafia group. That's it. I am not here to rat you out to the enemies." I started to reason with him as he slightly began to loosen his grip on me.

"And in order to do that, you decided to lie about working under me?" he raised his eyebrow in doubt and again tightend his grip.
"The..ey.. wer..n't.. letting me...i..n. That's.. Why." I managed to choke out some words.
Finally he got tired of me and threw me down on the asphalt.

Now being able to properly breath, I stood up in a sitting position. His face was clearly visible now. He didn't look much older, near about 18 or 19. Anyone would get fooled by his built, and would think that he was much older. Now that I think of it, he was pretty handsome. His red hair colour made it very difficult not to notice it.
I looked like a dwarf before him. Even though sometimes his face would look almost angelic, I clearly saw the other side of it too. His facial expressions quickly changed from relaxed to demonic.
"Get rid of her." he waved his hand in the air and turned around and began walking towards the entrance. The guards immediately stepped forward to grab me but I was faster. I quickly kicked one of them on their face and got up. The second guard was amused by my actions and smirked at me"So you wanna play, huh?"
I smirked back and ran towards him. I kicked him but he easily dodged that and punched me in my stomach. I fell back but I couldn't let him win. He raised his leg to kick me but I pulled it, making him fall down. I quickly punched him in his face and pinned him down on the ground.

"Stop it!" A voice made me turn around and look towards the door. There I saw the tall boy standing with his hands crossed on his chest having an amused look on his face, but it wasn't his voice. Soon a man came out from the entrance. The look on his face was stern. He looked very different from others and I knew who he was. He looked so much different in person. He ran a hand on his crisp ironed suit and stepped forward looking deep into my eyes. It immediately made me feel uncomfortable. Aura of power radiated from him.
"Do you even know what you are doing?" he spoke up raising his eyebrow.

"I wanted to meet you but they won't let me."I spoke as I stood up.
"And why would you want to do that?" His tone was weirdly calm.
"I wanted to join your side." I spoke straight to the point.
He began to laugh. I could see the tall boy behind him shake his head in disapproval, tired of my resistance.
"Why do you think we would keep someone like you?"Another man spoke up. Now a few other men and women began to come out of the building.
"I can prove myself." I didn't know what was going to happen with me but I was internally making myself ready for the out come.
My reply made the tall boy roll his eyes.
"Can you ride a bike?"That question caught me off guard, as their leader spoke up.
