A/N: September 27!!! OUAT is on at 8 tonight! Season 5 episode 1! Yay!

Love reckons hours for months, and days for years; and every little absence is an age.
~ John Dryden

My throat was tight, yet nothing around me could ever make me turn back. Not when I saw him standing at the end of the isle, smiling as his hands folded in front of him.

My mind was clear of any doubt; whether that be Peter...or Cora...anyone or anything.

He was the only one I could see.

It wasn't a traditional wedding. David was the one walking me along the white carpet thrown out beside the chairs. It was covered in rose pedals, which was done by Henry. Killian was standing next to Mr. Gold, who was a replacement father of the sort.

All eyes were on me, and for once, I didn't care.

"The bride and groom have written their own vows," Archie announced.

Killian turned to me, his blue eyes sparkling. "Ruby," he breathed. "Not too long ago, I thought I would never love again. I thought I wanted revenge, but I found a woman who changed my life entirely. She was a broken half, and so was I. We fit together perfectly." He gently took my arms. "And I never want to be apart from you Ruby...ever."

I swallowed. "Though our time together had been short...I feel as if I've known you for centuries."

"Perhaps you have," he joked, and the people laughed.

I smiled. "We've been through a lot together, and I want to go through even more by your side. Now, we'll never have to leave each other's side. Not that I'd want to." Killian caressed my cheek with his thumb. "We were the two no one approved of...now look around. They've let us be together...as long as we live."

Archie wiped his eyes briefly, and Pongo barked. "Killian...you may now kiss the bride."

The pirate leaned towards me, closing his eyes. Though this was not the first kiss, it felt as if it was. It was the best of all others. Everything felt as if it was melting away, and it was only us.

A week before...

I gazed at my bare skin from the bathroom mirror, checking every inch. The only thing there was the white scar of Killian's hook. There wasn't a single scratch, scar, ache, or even a broken bone.

I was still at the point of questioning reality. No one seemed to have any memory of Peter, even Snow, who was attacked by him. I would of asked Will, but he had decided to disappear again a few days ago.

It was...like magic. My eyes narrowed. Magic. Magic was what brought Peter to life. Magic could possibly be why I was healed. Maybe it was why it all seemed like a dream...

or why everyone "forgot", but I doubt that was magic. I was shocked though that Killian would keep it from me.

I sighed and turned on the shower to a decent temperature. Then, I stepped in and allowed the warm water to run down my body. I washed my hair, and as soon as I began to rinse, I heard the door knob squeak. All was quiet except for the thuds of the soap falling on the tub.

The door opened with a groan. I ripped my curtain back, only allowing my face to show. "Killian what the hell!?" Killian was sitting there, his arms crossed and a smirk on his face. "You do realize we aren't married yet right?"

"Yes," he answered. "I just miss you."

"I'm in the shower!" I went back to washing. "I guess you can stay in there just don't start undressing."

Killian laughed. "Thanks for the suggestion."

"I mean it."

"Alright. Alright."

----------------------------------------------

Killian swung me around to the sound of the song, careful not to bump into others. My chin rested on his shoulder. "I promise I'll never leave again," he breathed.

"I won't leave ether."
