Dangerously In Love

Chapter Six

This chapter will be based more around London, Mace, and Cai instead of Lani. It's going to be a lot of story telling in this chapter so be prepared for long paragraphs and for your emotions to be all over the place.

9:00 pm—
Somewhere in Miami,Florida

Lani lays in her bed, waiting on London to answer the phone. It's the same night and Lani wants to get more information on the Dortch brothers. She knows anything she wants to know can be found out from London.

"Hey girl." London's high pitched voice speaks through the phone sounding far away. Lani smiles at the sound, not realizing how much she missed her. Even though she spoke with her just yesterday she did miss her.

London was a real friend to Lani. She was nice to her and didn't play, which is what Lani needed. People liked to try to play her since she was new but London always made sure to cut that shit out. She wasn't all out there like some of her other friends with the fighting and everything else but she was well known in the hood. She was just a regular Miami girl.

"Hey, I have to tell you all about my night." Lani sighs, running her hands over her silk pillow case.

This catches London attention. She stops breaking down the swisher she's getting ready to roll. She picks up the phone from the floor and takes it off speaking, putting it to her ear. "Uh uh what happened?"

She is sitting on the stairs in front of her apartment. It's hot as hell even though the sun is down but it's even hotter inside since the AC in the whole complex broke. At least outside there's a little breeze in the air.

"You know how yesterday I went out with Mace?"

She had texted London and told her she was going out so she couldn't make it to the party. Lani didn't know that London and Mace had spoke and the plan was for him to take her to the party but he didn't feel like going.

"Mhm."

"Wellll we ended up going to his place and Cai was there and-"

"Bitch did you lose your virginity? I bet you let them niggas run you." London screams. The people at the bottom of the stairs turn to be nosey and listen to their conversation.

London rolls her pretty slated hazel eyes. She gets up and picks up all of her things, making sure to grab her mason jar full of moonrocks. She just made them with the oil she bought and she wasn't trying to have her shit come up missing.

"No!" Lani squeals her voice going high pitched. Lani has confined in London that she was still a virgin at the age of 17 going on 18. She was a little embarrassed about it because it seemed like everyone around her was sexually active. It seemed like all the girls talked about at school was who's dick was getting sucked or rode and  about other people's business.
