Dangerously In Love

Chapter Seven

4:00 p. m.
Miami, Florida

Cai brings his blue Gatorade bottle to his mouth and gulps down the cold drink. He runs the back of his hand across his sweaty forehead and swipes away the droplets dripping down his face as he watches the boys finish up the game of basketball.

"It's hotter then a bitch outside." Another boy complains. Cai nods in agreement. It's hot as shit out today. It's a bright, sunny Monday in Miami and everyone's out enjoying the weather. There are kids running around on the playground, their parents or older siblings "watching" them and girls in short shorts trying to gain the attention of the boys on the court.

Cai's currently at the park playing a few pick up games. He decided to sit this game out to get some rest but he's starting to regret it because now the sun is beating on his bare skin. Because of the heat, he's only wearing a thin white wife beater and a pair of Nike basketball shorts.

His brown eyes follow the movement on the court, watching the players and thinking of way he would get around his opponents. His eyes eventually trail off and land on the girl approaching him.

The girl's milk brown skin glistens in the sun with her hand resting on her proding belly. Since she's such a small girl, it's hard for her small frame to carry her big stomach making her wobble.

Cai lifts his hands over his eyes to shield the sun from his face. "What's up Liyah."

Aaliyah glares up at Cai, "Where's Macen? He running around here chasing bitches while I'm carrying his daughter! He needs to be worried about me." She demands, snacking her neck around.

Caion peers down at the girl and shakes his head. He eyes her stomach that's barely contained by her belly shirt. Even though she's almost 4 months pregnant she's still dressing like she's not. He still can't believe that his brother really got someone pregnant. Honestly out of the two, Cai thought he would be the one to do something dumb like this.

"I know you hear me talking to you Cai."

Cai brings his attention back to the pick up game that happening on the courts. "What you want Aaliyah? I'on know where he at."

"Well find him." Aaliyah rolls her neck. "My feet hurt and my baby want some wings."

Glancing over at her, Cai looks her up and down. "I look like Mace shadow? You better call that man."

"Caion." Aaliyah whines. "He's not picking up my calls and I need to get home. I been on my feet all day. I am carrying your niece inside me, she's heavy as fuck. I can already tell she's gonna have a big ass head like her daddy."
