REVENGE FOR MY LOVE

chapter 4

Ratna:mine is a sad and a pity story but out of the everything that I have faced arnav was the best thing that ever happened to me.

As you know I am an orphan and I grew up  in an orphanage, but when I turned 18 I had to leave the orphanage, and I thank one of the women who used to came and donate food to the orphanage for she was the one who helped me get a job at a restaurant as a waitress and after making enough money I finally got an apartment  which I was able to afford.

While working at the restaurant I met a man called dev Mehta and he was nice to me and he was also a regular customer and finally we started talking and getting to know each other, but I was a little uncomfortable with him at first but later I just gave up on that feeling and that's when we started dating.

But I never crossed my limits with him and I had told him everything about me and he had said that he loved me and that his parents would not mind me being an orphan and I was just happy that I finally found someone who loves and accepts me.

Finally after 3 months of dating he proposed marriage and I asked to meet his family but he said his parents lived in the village and he wants to merry me as soon as possible, you can say I was naive and stupid but he had said after marriage he will take me to his hometown and like a fool I believed him and we got married in the temple and I was 19 by then.

He came and stayed at my apartment after marriage stating that we will buy a house soon and there is no need to pay rent twice we can leave in one apartment and save money for a house and I thought he was right and after three months he dissapeared I never heard from him and I tried calling him but his phone went straight to voicemail and it is by that time that I found out I was pregnant but dev was no where to be seen and I even went to the police but they could not find him, it was like he had dissapeared out of the face of the earth.

That's when I went were he told me he was working and there i found out that they do not have anyone called dev Mehta working for them and that's when I gave up, I was heavily pregnant by then and I needed to take care of myself and the baby so I decided to look for another job as a maid because I was not able to do the waitressing job as it was not paying much again and being pregnant was not easy to work as a waitress and I needed to take care of the baby too.

After some months I gave birth to my baby arnav and he became my world and i forgot dev Mehta as my priority was him alone and as for dev I stopped looking for him.  when arnav was three I took him to work with me and I was feeding him lunch whe I saw I newspaper article and when l looked at the picture it was dev Mehta but it said top business man of the year dev Mallik and that's were the ground slept from my feet and now I understood why I could not find him, he was not dev Mehta but dev Mallik top business in India.

I looked for were he was I wanted to confront him I was angry and wanted the truth from him and that's when the following day I took a day of and went to one of his office that he had visited that time and arnav was with me.

When I reached there I went to the receptionist and said my name and that I wanted to see mr dev Mallik and the receptionist allowed me to go and see him, when I reached the office he was sitting there with a smirk on his face and I was boiling with anger, I just stood there and asked why did he do what he did to me .

Do you know what he did khushi and khushi nodded a "no"

He stood in front of me and laughed at my face and he called me a chip women in front of my son, he also said he did not love me he was using me and also just wanted to have fun with me and because I was being difficult he had to arrange for a fake marriage and I like fool walked into his trap.

I asked to him if he ever cared for his son but he said he did not even want to see him and i asked what fault did he have and what the answere he gave  broke me into pieces, I never wanted my son to hear that, but his own father called him a basterd and I could not believe he said that about his own flesh and blood , that's when I slapped him and he pushed me to the floor.
