Subhedra: I hope you are now convinced Garima.

Madhumati: don't mind her, she will be okay she has been thinking too much lately.

Divyani: let's continue with what we have been discussing and forget everything Garima and just be happy for your daughter.

All started to discuss the wedding and Garima was there but her heart and mind were not there, her  motherly instincts are telling her something is not right and she is going to lose khushi and this time it will be for good and her thoughts drift to what happened years ago when they separated her from arnav.

FLASHBACK

Khushi and arnav were becoming close friends and wherever arnav would be khushi was also there, they were always glued to each other which madhumati disliked and she did not want the son of their maid to be close to their daughter and they have been trying everything to discourage khushi not to be friends with arnav but khushi will not listen to them and continue to be friends with him.

Madhumati: shashi you need to do something about this boy and I told you not to allow them to be friends, now look how they are always together and people are starting to talk about us saying we allow our daughters to befriend a maid's child.

Shashi: you are right jiji but what can we do now and if we tell khushi to stay away from him she will ask questions and you know she can be stubborn.

With that they started treating arnav bad and instigating the other kids to insult arnav and finally one day shiv and payal called arnav an illigitamit son of a maid who has no father and that's when arnav decided not to step into gupta mansion ever again and the elders were happy but they failed to see a little girl crying behind them as they celebrated their victory of removing arnav from khushi's life.

Khushi: papa, amma,bhua what have you done?

Madhumati: stop asking us questions we did what was best for you, how can you keep that illigitamit boy as your friend and his mother is just our maid and you want to be friends with him.

Shashi: your bua is right khushi beta you will have many more friends and I know I had allowed you to be friends with him but now it is enough you need to respect some boundaries.

Garima: you be a good girl and listen to your papa and amma as we know what is good for you.

Khushi: what you all did was not right, you have hurt arnav and by hurting him you have also hurt me and for that I won't forgive you.

Khushi said that and she left and Garima as well as shashi took it as khushi being stubborn, but what they did not know was that they had destroyed their daughters faith and trust in them and that's how she began distancing herself from them and they never realised it.

Garima was brought out of her thoughts by madhumati who was showing her the jewelries they decided to buy for khushi.

Madhumati: look at this ,they looks very beautiful and I think they will also look good on khushi

Garima just nodded and she excused herself and left to the bathroom but she wanted to call khushi again and this time she answered her call after only two rings
