ASTRIA BLACK always wondered why she couldn't go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry like her cousins. When she got her Hogwarts letter her parents would not let her go. Her mother told her she had to go to Beauxbatons because it was much better than Hogwarts. Of course that was a lie her mother had made on the spot but being a naive eleven year old she believed it.
Much has changed since then. Astria is no longer a naive little girl. She had to go live with her Aunt in France and hasn't seen her parents since she was eleven. They often wrote letters to her but she still missed them.
Astria grew up to be a beautiful fourteen year old witch. She knew she was a very talented and powerful one. Some say she was to powerful for her own good.
So here she is reading a book on a train that's going from France to Scotland. Finally going back to her parents. Finally going to Hogwarts.
The train stopped at the station. Astria grabbed her luggage and pushed her way through the crowds looking for her Dad. She finally spotted him. Her father kept searching while she paused taking in his appearance. He appeared to have grown taller and older but he still looked handsome in her opinion.
He finally spotted her and she made her way over to him. They both exchanged a hug and then he apparated them both to Black Manor. No words were said. They both tried talking but they couldn't think of anything to say. She didn't have the best relationship with her father. When they got inside the manor she got pulled into a bone crushing hug immediately.
''You grew up to be a beautiful young lady Ria,'' her mother said into the hug.
''Thank you mom,'' that word was almost forgein on her tongue for not using it since she was eleven.
''Come lets have dinner,'' said her mother regaining her composure Astria nodded and they all sat down at the table.
Her mother sat at the head of the table, staring at her reflection in a silver spoon. She was dressed in a black blouse and a fitted midnight- blue skirt. Her ears, wrists and fingers were decorated with some of the finest jewels.
The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black is one of the largest, oldest, and wealthiest pure-blooded wizarding families in Britain, and one of the Sacred Twenty-Eight. Many wizarding families in Britain are distantly related to the House of Black. So obviously they had a ton of money.
Astria's parents may have looked kind greeting her but that's only because they haven't seen her in four years. They are very strict and have many opinions on everything. Astria obviously doesn't share the same beliefs as them but she chooses to keep her mouth shut about it.
Astria's mom Celesta Black was a very scary lady when you got her mad so Astria doesn't cross the line when it comes to her.
Astria straightened her form immediately when her mother put the spoon down and started examining her.
''It's about time you graced us with your attendance, Astria,'' said her mother taking a sip out of her cup. ''We were about to start dinner without you.''
She winced, deciding if she should make a snarky comment at her after all she wasn't the one driving the train. She bit her tongue and controlled herself.
''You must be in Slytherin,'' said her father ''any not associate with mudbloods when you go to Hogwarts.''
''Yes Father,'' she said biting her tongue harder to not make a comment. If she did anything wrong she would probably be sent straight back to Beauxbatons. She ended up convincing her parents to send her to Hogwarts to start her fifth year.
The rest of the summer was boring. She didn't know where her parents were half the time and only saw her parents when it was meal times. She had to entertain herself with her course books for the rest of the summer.
