"I told you to stay here! Its too dangerous for you to go walk out into a city you're not even familiar with! Worst part yet is that you talk to strangers too!"

The trip back from the supermarket was more of a nightmare. I suffered from two things: silence and rain. She literally refused to say a word to me until we reached back into her ground floor apartment and basically bursts out scolding me now when we finished settling back down. However, I admit I can't blame her for anything, but rather blame myself for all of it. Aunt Julie, I will always remember as my favourite aunt, because everybody has their nasty side and just today she is showing me hers.

"Please, please obey the rules I will be setting you, as it is important now that you don't have the company of your -"

Before she could even the say the word, I shook out of my misery and snapped into full attention to the new and important topic we were moving the conversation to:"Where are my parents?" I ask immediately.

There is a silence and my aunt freezes, physically, figuratively, you name it. She's comparably frozen in time. The finger she was playing with, pointing it all over the place (above all at me) curls up with the rest of her fingers into a tight fists and moves downwards, bouncing onto her thighs. "Right, your parents."

"Yes, Aunt Julie, you have to tell me where they are! How on earth am I meant to go on with this?"

She sighs hesitantly which makes me fear the worst.

"They're not..."

"No, no honey. Don't worry. Please go upstairs and -"

"No! I am not leaving until you tell me where they are!" I explosively demand.

"- go upstairs and check your luggage." She says with closed eyes finishing the sentence  I rudely interrupted .

I remain where I stand and watch her slowly open her eyes again. We're staring at each other.

"Okay," I say softly and turn to the stairs.

When I enter my room, I feel like landing on my bed but I know I can't do this until I figure where two of the most important people in my life are. But I feel a sudden strike of fatigue that I can't control, especially with the awareness of the bed to the left of me. I drop onto it and fall asleep.

Darkness, I can't see anything. I hear these voices. They're like blurry vision at first, but then I am able to make out certain words:

"She's there, you have contact with this girl?" A deep voice asks.

"Yes why?" a British accent asks.

"I think I have an old friend who went there for a visit."

"Oh, that's nice."

"Anything particular about this girl?"

"Well, I bumped into her, she was pretty and sweet and, I think I crushed on her."

"What? You pathetic little- never mind, don't even get me started."

"Well, sorry."

"What her name?"

That's when a sudden light breaks in.

Slowly I awaken from the weirdest daytime dream I have ever had. It was short, but dreams manage to expand time and make it feel like a whole night.

The light of the late afternoon keeps me squinting. I forget the whole reason of why I am here and how. So I take my time to recap this in my mind.
