project e[X]plore was an initiative begun in the past ... future ... begun at an uncertain time, and made with the purpose of sending advanced android units known as " explorers " to document the known universe at different points in its existence. explorer number two's name is orion, and he's been tasked with studying the universe of our time; of great interest to his studies are earth, and humans.
obviously, orion is ... well, mechanical. the AI that dictates his emotions and speech, however, is quite advanced — advanced enough to simulate personality.
that being said, orion's personality just so happens to be ... quite mechanical. he tends to ask a lot of questions in an almost therapist-esque manner, and can often seem a bit impersonal because of his curiosity and desire for knowledge. when the need for it is explicit, however, he is very much capable of being both personal and caring.
... emphasis on explicit, though.
