Sorry for the extremely short chapters, the way I write is very strange since the story is still incomplete in my head. I'm only trying to go with the flow (of my brain) and just write.
Do note that this story is very subjected to change, after I get the general story down I'll probably do a lot of editing and release it again. I hope the story still makes sense. I write during my school breaks (and I don't really have much time nowadays) so it may seem rushed, but ok bye I really talk too much. Enjoy!
The song above that I added is pretty much how I imagine this story's protagonist (Skeppy/Zak) to be.
My favourite lyrics: "If I can't have you no one can."
-
"It was a joke-" Zak tried to defend himself.
"No it's not. I can tell. You're turning red, you muffin."
"How did.. you..?" His voice grew weak.
"Was it that obvious?" He wondered to himself.
"I tried to hide it the best that I could."
"Maybe if you didn't turn into a tomato when I showed you what a6d said, I would've been convinced that you were kidding."
"Oh... I'm stupid." Zak thought.
"So, were you just lying about needing to stay over?"
"Yeah."
"You should've just told me if you wanted to come over just to hang, dummy."
"That's not it..." Zak mumbled to himself.
Darryl felt a tug on his shirt as Zak pulled him close.
"What-"
He fell straight onto him and struggled to move away, but Zak wouldn't let him get off. His two hands clutched onto the back of Darryl's shirt.
"Look at me. What I want is more than this." He said as he gazed into the breathtaking shade of deep, forest-like green in Darryl's eyes.
"You're.. too close.." Darryl tried to push him away. He was flustered. He never once saw Zak as more than just a best friend.
Eventually, Zak released his grip.
"Sorry. I just.. really like you. I'll leave if you want.. but I felt like this was the only way I could get it into your head."
He stood up, grabbed his things and got ready to leave.
"Wait, Zak." Darryl grabbed him by the shoulder.
"I didn't say that I wanted you to leave."
Zak smiled, trying to convince himself that everything was fine.
"I only came here to confess to you, really. Anyway, you kind of already know, so I'll just go now."
It was over, he thought.
"Sorry for being a bother to you. I know I'm annoying, I'll leave you alone from now on."
Zak pulled Darryl's hand away from his shoulder.
"No, listen to me!" He raised his voice.
Zak stopped and looked at Darryl, who had a stern look on his face.
"You haven't even asked me what I thought of you yet. You come all the way here, talk to me for like an hour and decide that you want to leave just like that? Zak, please just hear me out."
Zak lowered his head, then looked back up at him again.
"I'm listening."
Darryl let out a deep sigh.
"You don't know how much you mean to me, Zak. You're my best friend. You're everything to me."
