I watched from the sofa as Dianne rushed around the kitchen fumbling with all the small things out of place, I know Shes stressed but she just needs to slow down. Thing is her strictly partner this year Phillip Schofield, hes not the best dancer, and Diannes stressing herself out because she feels like its her fault that hes not picking up the choreography and there's not really anything I can do bar support her. I just miss her, I miss my Dianne, the bubbly one that always skips around the apartment singing terribly, at the moment she's too caught up in strictly to talk to me, and I get that she's busy but she needs time to wind down, and im gonna be here when she wants me.
"Joseph?" She asked
I snapped out of my daydream about thinking what I could do to calm her down.
"Yes love" I replied looking at her
"Did you change the bed sheets this morning?"
"Yes Di"
"Did you clean the fridge?"
"Yes love"
"Did you hang the washing out?!"
"Yes Dianne"
"Did you-" that was it, I cut her off.
"Yes Dianne, chill out babe, ive done it all sweetheart, come relax?" I held out my arms and she came over and just sank into my arms, salty tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Im sorry-" she started
"Dianne be quiet" I told her, I held her in my arms as she cried, her face buried into my neck.
"Listen" I began
"Listen Dianne, I get it sweetheart you're very stressed, I know, but you need to stop, you need to relax" I told her
"I know Joe but there's so much to do, I come home and you're still in the office working so I make our dinner which im fine doing, but then I have to do the dishes, set the table and get drinks, im fine doing it all but I just - there's so much to do that i cant stop Joe. Theres no time to stop." She explained in quite a flustered manner.
"Di have you thought about me at all?" I asked
"All the time" she smiled weakly
"That means you want to spend more time with me" I smiled
"Yes, yes I do" she replied a smile creeping onto her face.
"You just need to slow down" i told her as she cuddled into me.
