Jace took a portal to Lyla's mother house from the institute because he knew he shouldn't waste any time; this was the house where he had been sending the letters to. It was a really nice a modern house, there was a car parked out the front It's Lyla's car Jace said to himself.

He looked over at the letter box that was full of mail he opened it to see all the letter he wrote are still in there untouched, Jace's heart felt as if someone had reached into his chest and ripped his heart out, She didn't even open them but why. Jace took them all out then walking towards the door, he inhaled then exhaled before he knocked ever so lightly on the door there was no reply.

He turned the door handle it was locked, he looked down to see he was standing on a mat, he lifted this mat up to see a silver key that must be a spare house key. He put this key in the handle and turned it, with a single twist the door unlocked once he opened the door he walked in.

He started to cry Lyla's name but there was still was no reply, Jace was sure that Lyla would be able to hear him. Jace stopped and noticed that there was an awful rotting smell inside the house, he scrunched his nose at the smell.

As Jace walked down the hall he noticed that the smell kept on getting worse, every room he would open the door but there was no sight of Lyla. Jace started to give up hope but there was still one more room, he slowly opened the door to this room.

As soon as he opened the door tears streamed down his face, all of his body felt weak as if he was going to collapse. Lyla didn't reply because she herself wasn't alive, Jace raced across the room to where Lyla had hung herself from the ceiling fan. Jace's hands started to shake uncontrollably, Lyla's hands where a shade of blue which scared Jace. His stomach felt twisted and he knew he was going to throw up sometime soon.

Jace quickly pulled Lyla out of the noose that she hung from he then held her close to him. Jace put her on the bed "Ave atique vale Lyla Lovelace" he choked on those words because of the tears that were heavily streaming down his face. Looking at her now brought so much pain to Jace, he felt his heart pounding and his breath beginning to fasten.

Jace looked to see that Lyla was holding a letter in one of her hands, Jace picked it up and began to read.
